  • Patent number: 6028831
Abstract: Loading mechanism for loading and unloading an information disc into or from an information-technology apparatus in which first and second guides have respective first and second grooves each provided for engaging the edges of the information disc, and the second guide includes a rotationally drivable transport wheel which rolls the information disc into and out of the apparatus along a loading plane for the purpose of loading and unloading, and the first guide and the second guide are supported so as to be movable, and the first groove and second groove each have respective pressure faces inclined relative to the loading plane, and the first and second grooves each having a circumferential bottom surface and a minimum gap dimension where the respective circumferential bottom surfaces each extend substantially perpendicularly to the loading plane, and the respective minimum gap dimensions are each selected to be smaller than the thickness of the information disc, and wherein, during the loading process, the c

  • Patent number: 5669570
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette apparatus for reversible playing of magnetic tape cassettes with two tape spools and spool hubs, whereby one of the tape spools is rotatable in the playback or fast winding mode at any given moment. For the fast winding function, a transmission device is adjusted by insertable pushbutton rods for fast forward or fast rewind, respectively, so that the rotary movement of a drive gear for the fast forward direction can be transmitted to the one spool hub and for the fast rewind direction to the other spool hub. A selection plate is active between the pushbutton rods and the switching device and is brought into a position corresponding to the next previous tape direction, which position determines the assignment of the pushbutton rods. The selection plate derives its position responsible for the correct control of the pushbutton rods from an adjustment member which determines the playing direction by means of a position change.

  • Patent number: 5647549
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette apparatus with a cassette holding mechanism which minimizes the deforming stress on the holding parts. While a cassette is in an intermediate position, between ejected and held, minimal forces are applied, thereby reducing stress if the cassette is left in this intermediate position for a prolonged period. Also included in this mechanism is a detent which prevents the lateral movement of the mechanism while a cassette is being inserted.

  • Patent number: 5377062
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for a magnetic-tape cassette (2) having a movable shutter (16) for closing at least one access opening (10, 11, 12) in a side wall (6) of the cassette (2) comprises a cassette holder (25) for receiving the cassette (2) and an actuating device (77) for moving the shutter (16) of the cassette (2). The apparatus (1) has a movable cassette hold-down device (60) which comprises a hold-down support (66) which at least partly covers the upper wall (4) of the cassette (2), and the actuating device (77) is movably supported on the hold-down support (66).
