  • Patent number: 4733701
Abstract: A tool for tightening and cutting clamps comprises two handles pivoted to each other of which one is a tightening handle and has at its end a grasping member adapted to grasp the clamp to be cut. The other handle is a cutting handle and has at its end a movable cutter. Elastic element oppose movement of the grasping and cutting handles towards each other. An actuator to apply thrust to the cutter and elastic return element opposes movement of the cutter. The actuator comprises the pivot by which the handles are pivoted to each other and a curved slot in the cutting handle by which the cutting handle is fastened to the pivot and in which the pivot is movable parallel to itself, transversely to the pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 4733460
Abstract: An applicator device constitutes a magazine for the articles to be applied using the device. It comprises an elongate body adapted to hold and guide the articles. A longitudinal hollow space inside the body open at each end is adapted to receive the articles. There is a hood member at the open end of the body through which the articles leave the body. The device may be used for applying cable markers to a cable or electrical conductor, for example.

  • Patent number: 4600174
Abstract: A duct mounting fixture for securing a duct to a generally channel-shaped support section having right angle flanges at distal ends of legs or sidewalls is disclosed. The mounting fixture includes a base plate having an outer surface defining a bearing surface for an endwall of a duct, an aperture for a latch member in a middle zone of the outer surface of the base plate, the latch member extending through an opening in the endwall of the duct and grip the endwall. Two pairs of retaining teeth are disposed on the underside of said base plate and selectively cooperable with right angle flanges on different omega- and G-shaped supports. The pairs of retaining teeth are perpendicular to each other and arranged in a generally rectangular array. Thin deformable webs on the retaining teeth restrain the fixture against inadvertent sliding movement on the support section, and thin deformable webs between the head and shank of the latch member compensate for the thickness of the duct endwall.
