  • Publication number: 20210003112
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel way of manufacturing and assembling wind turbines to harness energy from wind. Chiefly, the invention is a way to build a darrieus vertical axis wind turbine and eliminate the need for a tower. This is done by using greater than two blades, replacing the tower with high tension cable(s) and adding high tension cables to the circumference of the turbine attached to each blade. This prevents deformation, reduces weight, and makes a rigid structure using tension and compression. Furthermore, this turbine can be built from whole bamboo poles and includes blades composed of whole bamboo poles, cables, and architectural fabric/membranes/composites. The invention includes unique applications for the turbine such as floating and ground-based systems and has custom bearings, foundations, passive cooling, manufacturing, and brakes. There is also a method of generating low pressure downstream of the turbines using a jib sail like structure.

  • Publication number: 20140182263
Abstract: The Maphbe Turbine is a system of nozzles, rotors, and energy storage devices used to generate consistent power from intermittent energy sources specifically wind. It uses sails, cables, and poles as a way to form large nozzles and rotors for power generation, these systems can be paired with other renewable sources for co-generation, and can be used for powering pumped storage hydro stations, excess energy can be stored in multi-layer carbon nanotube capacitors. Another application for the invention is offshore floating wind farms to make giant collapsible nozzles and turbines paired with solar, and or wave energy devices.

  • Publication number: 20120277863
Abstract: The Maphbe 1: Artificial Tissue and Joint Replacement System is a method of replicating the physiological function of tissue as described in the claims. The Maphbe 1 is unique because it employs methods of manufacturing needed to successfully combine the different materials needed to replicate tissue.

  • Publication number: 20120152399
Abstract: A pipe of unique design capable of augmenting any flow, including but not limited to: gas, liquid, particulate, plasma, and/or other fluid state or any combination thereof whether the flow is human and/or naturally made such that the tunnel produces a net decrease in pressure and a net increase in speed of a flow. The tunnel(s) can be used to augment flow to, from, in, at, and/or around turbines and/or rotors.
