Abstract: A prescription lens insert and methods of use are described, in which flexing a frame of a prescription lens insert, such that left and right rims of the frame are displaced mediolaterally, aligns respective larger ends of two keyhole apertures of the frame with left and right mushroom-shaped connector pegs protruding rearward from a pair of protective glasses. The prescription lens insert is then placed over the left and right connector pegs, such that distal heads of the connector pegs pass through the two keyhole apertures of the frame and the keyhole apertures are disposed adjacent shaft portions of the connector pegs. The frame of the prescription lens insert is then unflexed to align respective smaller ends of the two keyhole apertures with the left and right connector pegs, such that the distal heads prevent removal of the unflexed frame.

The mud visor may be attached to the goggle lens using a substantially transparent adhesive or adhesive tape. Thus, the mud visor may provide clear and improved field of view for the user. Further, the mud visor may be configured to cover and guide a top portion of a roll-off film as the roll-off film is conveyed across the goggle lens. A top portion of the mud visor may be inserted into the lens groove of a goggle frame along with the goggle lens when the goggle lens is attached to the goggle frame. The mud visor also may stretch across the goggle lens and overlap with film canisters at both sides to provide a seamless coverage to prevent mud from entering behind the mud visor or the roll-off film.

A lens retainer has a first end pivotably coupled to an upper member of the central bridge portion and a second end releasably latched to a lower member of the central bridge portion. A lens is disposed on a front side of the eyewear frame and clamped to the frame by the lens retainer.
