  • Publication number: 20210260403
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for stimulating alertness in a subject within an environment exposed to an ambient light having a fluctuating ambient light illuminance The system comprises an optical generator with a light source configured to generate a stimulating light having a stimulating light irradiance; and a driver coupled to the light source for controlling the stimulating light irradiance; an ambient light sensor configured to monitor the ambient light illuminance in real-time; and a controller operatively coupled to the optical generator and to the ambient light sensor to control the stimulating light irradiance in response to the ambient light illuminance monitored by the ambient light sensor, the controlling comprising capping the stimulating light irradiance to a maximal irradiance value based on the monitored ambient light illuminance. The present invention also relates to a method for stimulating alertness in a subject.

  • Patent number: 10376710
Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial light system for modulating circadian rhythms, increasing vigilance and influencing light-associated psychological conditions such as seasonal affective disorder. The system of the invention comprises a source of a green and/or red light and a source of blue light both light sources being controlled by a computer to provide predetermined light conditions. More specifically, the computer is programmed to provide pulses of blue light and continuous or pulsed red light, to enhance the efficacy of blue light, reduce blue-light hazard and avoid stroboscopic effect.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20010022432
Abstract: The adjustable suspension system for cargo vehicles of this invention includes of a cargo bed, at least two coaxial wheels and an adjustable suspension member equipped with a pneumatic system. The adjustable suspension member includes a pivotal axle parallel to the wheel axis, a rigid plate mounted under to the cargo bed, a movable support attached to the pivotal axle, an actuating member located between the movable support and the plate, lateral arms essentially perpendicular to the axle and attached at one of their extremities to a respective end of the axle and at the other extremity to a spindle connected to each wheel. The basic mechanism of these components allows for controlled change of the air pressure in the actuating member to position the cargo bed in a transport or a loading position with greater efficiency and maneuverability while leaving the greatest clearance possible under the cargo bed.
