Abstract: A toy building brick system includes a base brick having a cubic shape such that the base brick comprises six outer walls. The base brick has an open interior and each of the outer walls comprises a female receiver such that six female receivers are formed in the base brick. In this manner, the base brick defines an all-female brick. A plurality of inserts is provided and each of the inserts is removably engaged with one of the female receivers such that an outer surface of each of the inserts faces outwardly of the open interior.

Abstract: A toy building brick system includes a brick having an outer surface. The outer surface includes a plurality of outer walls. A plurality of male connectors is mounted on the brick. Each of the male connectors is engageable with a female connector of a different toy building brick. The brick is configured to only be capable of engaging with female connectors. The brick is devoid of female connectors such that the brick is incapable of direct engagement with male connectors.

Abstract: A building brick base assembly includes a plate having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge. The top side is planar and the plate has an opening extending therethrough. A plurality of male interconnection members is integral to and extends upwardly from the top side. A plurality of female interconnection members is integral to the bottom side of the plate. The male and female interconnection members are configured to releasably engage bricks from a building brick system. A panel has a perimeter edge and the panel is pivotally coupled to the plate adjacent to the opening. The panel is positionable in a closed position closing the opening or a deployed position exposing the opening.

Abstract: A modular block toy compatible panels and storage unit assembled therefrom for includes modular panels that have at least one surface, or portion thereof, that is compatible with common block toys such as LEGO™, DUPLO™, and other compatible blocks are described. Each panel may have at least one connector or at least one connector portion for connecting to one or more other panels. The panels are modular in nature and can be used in a multitude of ways to create flat, upright, or three-dimensional structures. The present invention also relates to a storage unit assembled using at least one modular block-toy-compatible panel.
