  • Publication number: 20260186370
Abstract: In some embodiments, a vertical cavity optical parametric oscillator may be provided. The vertical cavity optical parametric oscillator may include a first mirror layer and a second mirror layer and a non-linear optical layer between the first mirror layer and the second mirror layer. The non-linear optical layer may be configured to resonate both a fundamental harmonic optical signal and a second harmonic optical signal. Each of the first mirror layer and the second mirror layer may provide reflecting surfaces for both the fundamental harmonic optical signal and the second harmonic optical signal to reflect back and forth within the non-linear optical layer.

  • Publication number: 20260170078
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed computing systems for solving Boolean satisfiability (SAT). In some embodiments, the computing systems may be all-optical computing systems. Operations within the computing systems may be based on an optical encoding of a Boolean SAT problem, particularly for performing matrix-vector or vector-vector multiplication in an optical domain. An optical random access memory may include a plurality to individually addressable optical cavities, each cavity storing a corresponding variable as resonating optical pulses. The optical domain computations may be performed by offset circuits that provide an offset to variables loaded from the optical random access memory, multiply and accumulate circuits that generate products of the offset variables, and feedback circuits that feed back the products to the optical random access memory.

  • Patent number: 12386237
Abstract: In some embodiments, a device for generating mid-infrared radiation is provided. The device may include a thin film quadratic nonlinear waveguide formed on a mid-infrared transparent cladding by a thin film material of a predetermined film thickness, the waveguide having a predetermined etch depth and a predetermined top width. At least one of the predetermined film thickness, the predetermined etch depth, and the predetermined top width may be tuned for the device to generate a coherent idler wave as a mid-infrared radiation from a fixed pump wave and a tunable signal wave.

  • Publication number: 20250173594
Abstract: Systems and methods for confining an optical signal in a non-linear optical quantum computing system are disclosed. An optical signal and a trap field are provided in the non-linear optical quantum computing system. The trap field propagates with and confines the optical signal in time and/or space. The non-linear optical quantum computing system may be structured as a ring, a single-pass waveguide or a segmented single-pass waveguide. In some cases, multiple optical signals may be input into the system and evaluated in a multiplexed fashion.
