  • Patent number: 9295906
Abstract: A collection of game pieces including a block and a support tray. The block includes a top surface, a first width and a thickness. The support tray includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a second width, a depressed portion on the surface and the support tray is adapted to removably receive the block centrally on the top surface. The ratio of the first width and the second width ranges from about 6:7 to about 1:2 such that a flange of the support tray is formed. The block is configured to receive a plurality of nails driven into it using a striking tool and if the striking tool accidentally misses the block while used in driving a nail into the block, the flange is used to arrest the striking motion of the striking tool.

  • Patent number: 8014721
Abstract: A mobile communication device is capable of operation in accordance with a plurality of operation mode profiles. Data linking each operation mode profile to a respective operation identifier are stored in the device memory. The device controller, coupled to a contained near field communication (NFC) device, is responsive to operation mode identifier data received from the NFC device during near field communication with an external establishment to change operation from an initial mode to the operation mode linked to the received data.

  • Patent number: 7969297
Abstract: Light sources are affixed at appropriate positions in a multilevel structure or in an obstructed environment. The light sources generate modulated light signals, such as controlled light-emitting diodes, which identify the positions of the light sources by their three-dimensional global positioning coordinates and/or equivalent representation that specifies their in situ locations in the environment. Mobile communication devices, upon receiving the light signals, can derive spatial positioning information and transmit such information to a remote location, such as an emergency response system.

  • Publication number: 20110096766
Abstract: A transceiver circuit and a method in a wireless communication network are provided, where a signal power level for a signal received at the transceiver circuit is measured and compared to a predefined threshold power level. At least two groups of power amplifiers may be used, where one group is optimized for high efficiency above the predefined threshold power level, and one group is optimized for high efficiency below the predefined threshold power level. The amplifiers may be used to amplify the received signal depending on the signal power level in relation to the predefined power threshold level. The signal may then be filtered by duplex filters and forwarded to a diversity antenna or a main antenna where it is transmitted over an air interface.
