  • Patent number: 12072061
Abstract: An atomizer unit of a lubrication system has a chamber arrangement having a chamber arrangement interior, at least one first supply duct for supplying a first compressed-air stream into and through the chamber arrangement interior to a continuation duct, and an injection valve for injecting a coolant and/or lubricant into an injection region into the first compressed-air stream in the chamber arrangement interior. The atomizer unit has at least one second supply duct for supplying a second compressed-air stream into and through the chamber arrangement interior to the continuation duct. The atomizer unit is designed in such a manner that the second compressed-air stream combines with the first compressed-air stream and with the coolant and/or lubricant possibly injected into the first compressed-air stream, to form a transport stream for transporting the injected coolant and/or lubricant, and the transport stream is routed through the continuation duct to the machining location.

  • Patent number: 11885462
Abstract: Embodiments relate to an atomizer unit that has a chamber assembly with an injection chamber and an atomizer chamber. The injection chamber is connected to the atomizer chamber by a nozzle, and the atomizer unit has a first feed channel for feeding a first compressed air flow into the injection chamber, a second feed channel for feeding a second compressed air flow into the atomizer chamber, and an injection valve for injecting a coolant and/or lubricant into the first compressed air flow in the injection region of the injection chamber. The first compressed air flow flows from the injection chamber into the atomizer chamber through the nozzle, is atomized in the atomizer chamber by the nozzle, is combined with the second compressed air flow in the atomizer chamber in order to form a transport flow for transporting the injected coolant and/or lubricant, and can be conducted to the machining location.

  • Patent number: 11344859
Abstract: The invention discloses a reactor for preparing a formulation. The reactor comprises at least two apertures, a base and at least one sidewall extending flush therefrom, wherein the base and the sidewall together define a mixing chamber with a height hM and at least one axis of symmetry arranged substantially perpendicular to the base and at least one distance r from the sidewall. A first aperture is arranged within the base or adjacent to the base in the sidewall of the mixing chamber at a height hA ranging from 0.6 to 0.0 hM in order to introduce free-flowing materials and/or mixtures to the mixing chamber. The first aperture is configured with a non-return valve disposed therein or adjacent thereto, the non-return valve permitting the introduction of free-flowing materials to the mixing chamber through the aperture, but preventing outflow of free-flowing materials from the mixing chamber through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 10715643
Abstract: A cloud computing system includes computing nodes that execute a shared application and/or service accessible by client computing devices over a network. A resilience multiplexer is configured to: receive signals (e.g., from a cloud controller, registry service, error handler, and/or failover service) indicative of potential problems with components of the system and/or network; identify a rule to be executed to determine how to respond to the potential problem, based on attributes of the received signal including which component generated it and what information is included in/otherwise associated with it, and other network-related data; execute the identified rule to determine whether a failover is or might be needed; if a failover is needed, selectively trigger a failover sequence; and if a failover only might be needed, initiate a resilience mode. In resilience mode, information regarding the potential problem is communicated to other components, without immediately initiating a failover sequence.

  • Patent number: 9967196
Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to techniques for dynamic resource use limitations in a cloud computing environment. A service request from a user is received, in connection with a first application process of the application processes executing in the environment. A resource strategy based on the received service request is generated in connection with the first application process. The resource strategy specifies at least one resource shared by the application processes and an amount of the at least one resource for use by the first application process to subsequently perform a service requested. In connection with a resource controller process different from the first application process, a determination is made regarding whether the generated resource strategy is feasible. Either the service is performed (e.g., when the resource strategy is feasible), or the resource strategy is revised and re-submitted to the resource controller process (e.g., when the resource strategy is infeasible).

  • Patent number: 9870359
Abstract: A system for dynamic document retention, in a multi-owner environment that includes a document management system, registers, in a retention service, plural different document owners for a same document. The system receives a different owner-defined document retention policy for the document from each of the document owners, and registers, in a plug-in registry, the policies. In response to a scheduler or a document owner, the system triggers an update of a document retention policy, adds/deletes a document owner from the document, and/or deletes the document when there are no remaining document owners. The document management system includes a retention service that tracks the owners of the same document(s), the plug-in registry that tracks the different document retention policies of the different document owners, and an optional scheduler. The event-based retention policies can be responsive to events occurring internal to or external to the document management system.

  • Patent number: 9270546
Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to techniques for dynamically bootstrapping repositories or databases for newly created tenants at runtime in scalable, distributed multi-tenant environments. Repositories are maintained for respective application-tenant combinations. If there is an existing repository for the application and tenant combination involved in an incoming request, the request is responded to using that existing repository. However, if this is not the case, a new repository is created dynamically and at runtime. Bootstrapping is triggered dynamically the first time a client application tries to access the newly created tenant at runtime. This approach advantageously is flexible when it comes to enabling tenant- and application-specific repositories with optional search index mapping (e.g., for searching and/or other purposes).

  • Patent number: 8481262
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating and/or enriching prokaryotic DNA, comprising the following steps: a) contacting of at least one prokaryotic DNA that is in solution with a protein that bonds specifically to prokaryotic DNA, the protein being 25%-35% homologous with the wild-type CGPB protein, thus forming a protein-DNA complex; and b) separation of the complex. The invention also relates to a kit for carrying out said method.

  • Publication number: 20100255474
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and means for determining pathogenic fungi in a sample material, e.g. blood. In the method, the bacterial DNA is initially enriched from the total DNA of the sample material, and then the enriched DNA is amplified with specific primer pairs. Detection of the obtained amplicons allows the accurate identification of bacteria and fungi contained in the sample material and of their resistances. The methods and means of the invention allow an early diagnosis of inflammatory diseases, in particular involving non-detected infection (SIRS), and of infectious diseases such as sepsis, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and endocarditis.
