  • Patent number: 8104130
Abstract: A bridge supports any desired loading capacity to cross rivers, ravines, highways, wetlands, and other areas where traffic or pedestrians conveniently access the opposite side. The structure is assembled in a number of ways at the bridge site, using smaller equipment and less time than is normally required. The prefabricated and trial fitted elements can be assembled at ground level and the structure can be launched on rollers across the area that is to be crossed, or can be assembled sequentially from one or both sides. The structure includes two or more box girders supporting the bridge deck which is integrated into the structure. The upper portion of the girders form the side barriers of the bridge and the deck with integrated cross members is fastened to the lower portion of the girders, both of which are sized to accommodate the load bearing capacity of the traffic using the structure.

  • Patent number: 7644682
Abstract: An elevated feeder or framework holds the round bales of feedstock off the ground while providing a convenient height for the livestock to feed from. The bale feeder is made by rigidly connecting tubular elements, of the same or different diameters together, at any angle, without the use of special fasteners. The elevated feeder holds the bales with the flat ends in a position that is the most convenient for the livestock to consume the feedstock. The elevated feeder keeps the feedstock bales off the ground by supporting the feedstock on an adjustable, flexible mesh bale support, with openings to permit rain and water to drain away from the feedstock. The mesh bale support length is adjusted by moving the mesh support clamping bars closer to or farther away from the ends of the mesh raises or lowers the bale to accommodate the feeding height of the livestock being fed.

  • Patent number: 5353557
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a modular jail structure comprising a plurality of removable cells in adjacent relation arranged in a configuration to form an open area, a plurality of support columns removably coupled to the plurality of cells, and a roof supported by the plurality of support columns, covering at least the open area, such that the roof remains in place, supported by the support columns, when the plurality of cells are removed.

  • Patent number: 4217930
Abstract: A venting port for refrigerated shipping containers is provided to facilitate the introduction and movement of refrigerated atmospheric air or refrigerant gas through the container. The venting port comprises a pair of flanged rings adapted to engage an opening formed in the wall of the container and to sandwich said wall therebetween, said rings defining a central port extending from the interior to the exterior of the container, a rotatable closure slidably disposed on the inside of the container and movable between a closed position in engagement with one of said flanged rings to seal the port and an open position spaced apart from said flanged rings to permit the entry of ambient air, means attached to the first flanged ring for guiding the closure between the open and closed positions, and locking means comprising a plurality of cooperating radially disposed teeth on one of said flanged rings and the closure to secure the closure in the closed position.
