  • Patent number: 9325441
Abstract: A Multi-tuner reception system includes at least a first tuner and a second tuner. The first tuner is adapted to translate a frequency of a first received signal into a first translated frequency. The first tuner includes a first local oscillator operating at a first local oscillator frequency. The second tuner is adapted to translate a frequency of a second received signal into a second translated frequency. The second tuner includes a second local oscillator operating at a second local oscillator frequency. The second local oscillator frequency is equal to a sum of the first local oscillator frequency and a continually time variable offset frequency.

  • Publication number: 20140129856
Abstract: The arrangement and method of the invention comprises dynamically limiting current provided to multiple peripheral interfaces of an electronic device, comprising individual current limiting per peripheral interface and global current limiting over all peripheral interfaces, in way that is optimized to best suit power needs for the peripheral devices connected to the peripheral interfaces while respecting the power supplying capacity of the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 8055186
Abstract: The invention reduces the time needed for an automatic channel search on a device receiving channels of different widths. The invention proposes a channel detection method which carries out a first scan of the frequency range in order to locate all the carrier frequencies. The measurements are saved. Then an analysis of the saved measurements can determine whether it comes from a satellite or FM source, only the data corresponding to satellite sources are kept.

  • Patent number: 7831197
Abstract: The invention proposes an LNB using two transposition frequencies chosen on either side of the reception band so as to obtain a transposition of supradyne type and a transposition of infradyne type according to the frequency used. This choice of transposition frequencies makes it possible to have an overlap zone in the middle of the reception band which is transposed with the aid of the two oscillation frequencies but at different frequencies. This makes it possible to choose between the two transpositions in the case where the frequency transposed with the aid of an oscillator corresponds to a particularly noisy frequency.

  • Patent number: 7346322
Abstract: The invention relates to a receiver 1 of signals and proposes to remedy a non-linearity problem in an amplifier 70 of an integrated tuner 7.A linearity compensation circuit 8 is inserted upline from the tuner 7.The compensation circuit 8 presents a characteristic that is the inverse of the characteristic of the low-noise amplifier 708 in order to compensate for the linearity defect.

  • Patent number: 6240281
Abstract: In order to select one or more microwave signals from among the signals which it receives, the reception device comprises switching circuits. The switching circuits are commanded by command signals. According to the invention, a switching circuit command signal consists of at least two sinusoidal signals generated according to the principle of voice-frequency dialling. The invention applies more particularly to the reception of signals from telecommunication and/or telebroadcast satellites.
