  • Patent number: 5500415
Abstract: A process for the preparation of spherules and emulsions containing such spherules. A primary oil-in-water emulsion is formed containing particles comprising one or more active principles in oily form suspended in water, the water optionally containing at least one protein. Controlled division of the primary emulsion is achieved by combining the primary emulsion with a water-immiscible solvent to create a second emulsion containing spherules of the primary emulsion. Preferably, the particles of the primary emulsion have mean diameters of about 1 .mu.m, and preferably, the spherules contained in the second emulsion have a diameter ranging from 100 .mu.m to 500 .mu.m. If protein is contained in the primary emulsion, the protein can be cross-linked. Further, the spherules can be separated from the water-immiscible solvent.

  • Patent number: 4479006
Abstract: 1. Process for the manufacture of N-substituted 1-carbamoyl-3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-hydantoins of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 =alkyl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4) or phenyl and R.sub.2 =H or alkyl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4).2. This process comprises two steps:a. reacting phosgene with 3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-hydantoin in an inert organic solvent medium, in the presence of an acid acceptor, in order to form 1-chlorocarbonyl-3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-hydantoin, andb. reacting the chlorocarbonyl formed with an amine HNR.sub.1 R.sub.2 in an inert organic solvent, in the presence of an acid acceptor.3. This process makes it possible to obtain the products I, which can be used as agricultural fungicides, with good yields.

  • Patent number: 4414415
Abstract: (1) Process for the manufacture of 2,6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline.(2) This process consists in chlorinating paranitroaniline, with chlorine gas, in an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid having a concentration of between 4 and 7.5 N, at the boil, at a temperature between 95.degree. and 110.degree. C.(3) This process makes it possible to obtain 2,6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline with an improved yield and an improved quality of product.
