  • Publication number: 20240337309
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to movable coupling mechanisms, and more particularly, to push-push devices for adjustably coupling a first object to a second object. In some embodiments, the push-push device includes a shuttle block configured to be coupled to the first object, a track block configured to be coupled to the second object, and an arm rotatably coupled to the shuttle block at a distal end of the arm and slidably coupled to the track back at a proximal end of the arm. The push-push device may also include one or more first springs configured to apply a torsional preload force to the arm, and one or more second springs configured to apply a linear preload force between the shuttle block and the track block.

  • Patent number: 11686426
Abstract: Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a joint of a tray arm assembly, comprising a joint body, a shaft configured to rotate relative to the joint body about a longitudinal axis of the shaft, and a slip clutch assembly, comprising a clutch stack, including a plurality of first clutch plates keyed to the shaft and a plurality of second clutch plates keyed to the joint body. The clutch stack further comprises a spring configured to selectively exert a force on the clutch stack, wherein the force compresses the clutch stack causing a friction between the plurality of first clutch plates and the plurality of second clutch plates with respect to a rotation of the shaft relative to the joint body.

  • Patent number: 11590798
Abstract: Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a retractable guard assembly coupled to a caster of a mobile equipment, comprising one or more first guards comprising corresponding one or more guard toeholds and one or more second guards. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully retracted state, fully compressing any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards to transition into a fully deployed state. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully deployed state, fully lifting any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and one or more second guards to transition into the fully retracted state.

  • Publication number: 20050231932
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a reinforced substrate apparatus (100) and method (600) for reinforcing a substrate (110). The substrate apparatus includes the substrate, a first shield (115, 215) coupled to the substrate and at least a second shield (120, 220) coupled to the substrate. A strengthening member (125, 225, 275) can be coupled to the first shield and the second shield without necessarily contacting the substrate. The method can include the step of attaching (620) the first shield and the second shield to the substrate where at least one among the first shield and the second shield shields circuitry on the substrate. The method also includes the step of coupling (640) a strengthening member to the first shield and the second shield.
