  • Publication number: 20250131294
Abstract: A processing system, a processing unit and a processing method for processing object detection results based on sensor visibilities are provided.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 18, 2022
    Publication date: April 24, 2025
Inventors: Marc Patrick Zapf, Jia Hu, Jinyao Liang, Joachim Boerger
  • Publication number: 20250054282
Abstract: An image processing method includes (i) obtaining a forward view of a vehicle, wherein the forward view at least shows an area in front of the vehicle, (ii) obtaining parameters of a camera used to capture the forward view, the parameters including extrinsic parameters of the camera, and (iii) inputting the forward view and the camera parameters into a neural network model to obtain a semantically segmented top-down view. Thus, an end-to-end method is provided, which avoids distortions that may occur during the transformation of features from the forward view to features in the top-down view.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 5, 2024
    Publication date: February 13, 2025
Inventors: Wenfu Wang, Xinrun Li, Leichen Wang, Marc Patrick Zapf
  • Publication number: 20230333569
Abstract: A method for planning a path for a mobile object is disclosed. The method includes: generating a plurality of costmap layers based at least on locations of the obstacles in a navigation area, current locations and/or current planned paths of other mobile objects in the navigation area, and historical locations of other mobile objects in the navigation area; generating a master costmap based on the plurality of costmap layers; and planning a path to a target location based on the master costmap. An apparatus for planning a path for a mobile object is also disclosed. A controller for a mobile object, a mobile object and a computer-readable storage medium are also disclosed.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 14, 2020
    Publication date: October 19, 2023
Inventors: Marc Patrick Zapf, William Wang, Zhuoqi Zeng, Hao Sun
  • Patent number: 11704916
Abstract: A three-dimensional environment analysis method is disclosed. The method includes (i) receiving original point cloud data of a working environment, (ii) processing a map constructed on the basis of the original point cloud data in order to separate out a ground surface, a wall surface and an obstacle in the working environment, (iii) pairing the ground surface with the wall surface according to the degree of proximity between the ground surface and wall surface that are separated out to form one or more adjacent ground-wall pair sets, and (iv) subjecting the one or more adjacent ground-wall pair sets to ray tracing analysis in order to obtain a line-of-sight zone and a non-line-of-sight zone in the working environment. A three-dimensional environment analysis device, a computer storage medium and a wireless sensor system is also disclosed.
