  • Patent number: 11243389
Abstract: A method is used for optical scanning of at least one object region placed on a transparent specimen holder. The method is as follows: for each sample lateral position of plural predefined sample lateral positions performing a focus determination by: performing laser reflection and using a first camera taking plural first images to determine a reference distance between the specimen holder and an objective lens; performing transmission flash illumination and using a second camera taking plural second images to define a focus distance taking into account the reference distance; after completing the focus determination, determining a focus distance topology across the object region based on the focus distances determined for ail sample lateral positions; and laterally moving the specimen holder and acquiring third images while focusing according to the focus distance topology.

  • Publication number: 20100222825
Abstract: An occipital plating system includes a fixation assembly with a plate and a coupling member extending from a respective one of opposite lateral portions of the plate. The coupling members each include a passage that opens in at least one of a medial or lateral direction to receive a connecting element extending from the spinal column.

  • Publication number: 20070270880
Abstract: The present application is directed to tools that may generally deflect a locking ring away from the fastener, and also engage a head of the fastener to rotate and remove the fastener from a vertebral member. The tools may include a first member that contacts and moves the locking ring away from the aperture 101. A second member engages the head and transfers torque to the fastener for removal from the vertebral member.

  • Publication number: 20070266529
Abstract: A quick attachment apparatus for use in association with orthopedic instrumentation and/or tools for releasable connection to a device, including a coupling member defining a passage extending generally along a longitudinal axis and sized to slidably receive a connection portion of the device, a locking member transitionable between a locked position and an unlocked position, a biasing member engaged between the coupling member and the locking member to bias the locking member into engagement against the connection portion to substantially prevent relative axial movement between the coupling member and the connection portion, and wherein application of a lateral force onto the locking member results in displacement of the coupling member generally along a transverse axis wherein the locking member is disengaged from the connection portion to allow relative axial movement between the coupling member and the connection portion.

  • Publication number: 20070270809
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a pair of bone attachment devices and a crosslink device for a spinal fixation system or other implant arrangement. The bone attachment devices include a head with socket to receive a spinal rod or other elongate element and the crosslink device includes a pair of bridging members each having an end section for connecting with the bone attachment devices. An interconnection device situated between the bridging members receives the bridging members and allows translational and rotational freedom therebetween while being operable to secure the bridging members in position relative to one another. A pair of engaging members are structured to engage the head of the respective bone attachment device and bear against the respective adjacent end of crosslink device to lock the crosslink and the bone attachment device in a rigid construct are also included.

  • Publication number: 20070270808
Abstract: A pair of bone attachment devices and a crosslink device for a spinal fixation system or other implant arrangement is provided that extends between and engages the bone attachment devices with engaging members. The bone attachment devices include a receiver portion and the crosslink device includes a pair of elongated bridging members each having a pivotally attached connector for connecting to the bone attachment devices at various planar elevations. An interconnection device situated between the connectors receives the members and allows translational and rotational adjustment of the members relative to one another.

  • Publication number: 20070173829
Abstract: Connection devices and methods to connect together vertebral rods. Embodiments of the device include a first member and a second member. Each member may include a grip for connecting with the vertebral rods. A connector may connect together the first and second members. The connector provides for various manners of adjusting the position of the extension members. Connector may provide for relative rotation of the members about one or more axes. Connector and the construction of the device may also provide for adjustment of a length of the device.

  • Publication number: 20060229900
Abstract: A data processing method and system of selling tenant-in-common interests as non-security investments by a real estate sponsor is disclosed. A real estate property is purchased at a purchase price. An investment price of a tenant-in-common interest in the real estate property is calculated by a computer system utilizing the purchase price and a sponsoring fee. The real estate sponsor then solicits at least one offer to purchase a tenant-in-common interest in the real estate property at least through a computer network. At least one offer to purchase a tenant-in-common interest in the real estate property is received by the real estate sponsor. The real estate sponsor then accepts an offer to purchase a tenant-in-common interest from at least one investor. All control on the real estate property is divested from the real estate sponsor.
