  • Patent number: 5044704
Abstract: An adjustable refrigerator crisper drawer structure including a frame having three discrete locations for removable drawer support members. Thus the drawer support members may be located at discrete locations to accommodate various drawer sizes. One end of the drawer support member is locked to the support frame. The other end is slideably received in the support frame. Two rigid rails are provided for reinforcing the support frame. The rails are secured to the front and rear members of the frame and respectively support the front and rear portions of the drawer support member.

  • Patent number: 4936641
Abstract: A mounting system for an article supporting member in a refrigerator includes first and second support members each of which is removably secured to a respective pair of studs mounted on opposite sidewalls of the liner of a refrigerator compartment so that the height of the support members masy be adjusted. Each of the first and second support members includes a track for receiving opposite sides of a refrigerator shelf or storage bin for slidable movement therein. The track of the first support member permits lateral movement of the refrigerator shelf; whereas the track of the second support member substantially prevents lateral movement of the refrigerator shelf to accommodate dimensional variations in the liner of the refrigerator compartment. Each of the studs is a dovetail stud having a rounded upper and lower edge so as to permit a support member to be pivoted about one stud when mounting the support member to the refrigerator compartment liner.

  • Patent number: 4934541
Abstract: A refrigerator shelf includes a glass plate for supporting articles thereon and a plastic picture frame extending about the periphery of the plate such that the frame abuts the upper surface of the plate and projects thereabove to substantially prevent spills from running off of the shelf. The frame includes an upper frame and a lower frame which cooperate together to sandwich the periphery of the plate therebetween. A silicone seal may be further provided between the upper frame and the glass plate to positively prevent spills from seeping between the upper frame and the glass plate.

  • Patent number: 4745775
Abstract: A storage pan assembly for a refrigerator, having a humidity control therein, uses only four parts which are assembled together free of any fasteners. A plastic slide member snaps into place in a baffle housing to provide an adjustable baffle. The baffle in turn is held in assembled relation with a front panel, using a latching hook disposed thereon. The front panel slidably mounts on flanges located at the front of a storage pan to provide a storage pan assembly. Openings are provided through the front panel and storage pan, at the baffle, to provide an adjustable air passageway therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4706169
Abstract: An acrylic lightpipe transmits light from the lamp compartment of a refrigerator to the inner surface of an indexed control dial for backlighting. The lightpipe is supported within the refrigerator by a bracket positioned in proximity to the dial to be illuminated. Integral extensions formed on the light pipe are gripped by the bracket to prevent the lightpipe from rotating or translating with respect to the dial. The lightpipe is cantilevered by the bracket to backlight only a selected portion of the dial. The light emitting end face of the lightpipe is planar and angled to form an obtuse angle with the axis of the pipe to efficiently illuminate the dial.
