  • Patent number: 11874054
Abstract: A dry ice receptacle is described. The dry ice receptacle includes a first portion defining a first opening, a second portion defining a second opening, and a curved exterior sidewall extending between the first portion and the second portion, and connecting the first portion and second portion, to define a receiving chamber arranged to contain a volume of dry ice. The dry ice receptacle also includes a curved interior sidewall extending between the first opening and the second opening. The interior sidewall is radially inward of the exterior sidewall and defines a straw channel, which may at least partially taper between the first opening and the second opening, and which is configured to receive a drinking straw. A fluid reservoir may also be included to allow accumulation of liquid under the straw channel.

  • Patent number: 8915391
Abstract: A drinkware rimming apparatus including a wetting receptacle, a cutout, and a rotatable tray having a plurality of spice receptacles. The tray is rotatable relative to the cutout (or vice-versa) to align and provide downward access to a desired spice receptacle or to the wetting receptacle. A cover may be included and the cutout can be in the cover and/or the tray. The cover can have beverage garnish compartments on a top surface thereof. The wetting receptacle can be positioned in a tray or on the cover. The cutout can be in another tray also having one or more spice receptacles and above the first-mentioned tray and rotatable independently of the lower tray. A method of applying spice to rims of drinkware is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140334249
Abstract: A magnetic beverage dispenser and mixer apparatus including a container and a magnetic motor to drive a stir bar in the container. The stir bar is rotated by an external magnetic drive motor to stir the liquid in the container. The container includes a bottom base which may have a mechanical retainer that retains the magnetic stir bar in the base in an operative rotating position relative to the motor to provide stirring access of the stir bar to liquid in the container. The container can have a spigot for dispensing the liquid. The base portion can be shaped to effect/enhance the mixing/tornado action of the liquid. A controller can control the motor using information from the user and/or information concerning properties/conditions of the fluid and/or the stir bar detected by sensors.

  • Patent number: 7942283
Abstract: A method and a device for preparing a drinking glass, cup, mug or other beverage container, e.g. drink-ware, where any dry granular, flaked, shaved or powder substance (SPICE) is applied to the rim of the drink-ware. Where the drink-ware is inverted and introduced into the SPICE and in order to adhere the SPICE to the rim of the drink-ware, the rim is customarily first moistened with a liquid, gel or other viscous aqueous wetting substance (moistening agent). The dispenser is an all encompassing system to accommodate common large diameter drink-ware, to moisten the rim of the drink-ware, house the SPICE, preserve the moistening agent and preserve the SPICE by separating the moisture of the wetting agent from the SPICE, providing for drink-ware to be introduced into the wetting agent then into the SPICE and to re-close and secure the device and its contents with a screw or snap-on lid.

  • Patent number: 7882796
Abstract: A method and a device for preparing drinkware where a substance is applied to the rim of the drink-ware and substances can be dispensed from the device. One device includes a cabinet that can house and dispense substances, and the substances may either be filled directly into receptacles, stands, arms or drawers and/or pre-filled in contoured drawer liners. The cabinet may include a moistening reservoir and separates the moistening reservoir from the Spice by housing the moistening agent in a distinct and separate location.

  • Publication number: 20100196546
Abstract: A viscous solution which serves as a catalyst or facilitator to apply any dry granular, flaked, shaved or powder substance (Spice), to the rim of plastic and glass drink-ware. To apply said Spice on drink-ware made from materials commonly used in the manufacture of drink-ware and used in widespread dining/drinking environments including; plastic, glass, porcelain, ceramic, paper, wax coated, etc., and to apply said Spice in a manner that permits a more evenly distributed Spice application that resists or reduces possible dripping down the drink-ware and protects the Spice from saturation or contamination from the Solution.
