    Abstract: In a method and a device for the treatment of a layer by introducing a binder and/or water and/or additives into a milled-up quantity of milled material of the layer to be stabilized by means of a construction machine or attachment machine with a milling/mixing rotor that is used to mill the layer at a specified milling depth, where the milling/mixing rotor is surrounded by a rotor housing which forms the boundary of the mixing chamber of the milling/mixing rotor, it is provided that during the positioning process, at least the binder quantity currently fed until reaching the specified milling depth is determined in accordance with the milled-up quantity of milled material currently present in the mixing chamber.
