  • Publication number: 20110106266
Abstract: Scapular component of a shoulder joint prosthesis, having a base plate (11) anchorable to the scapula and, affixable to the base plate, a joint surface member (12) which defines either an anatomical (concave, 13) joint surface or a reverse (convex, 33) joint surface. On the rear side (14) of the base plate (11), which faces the scapula in the implanted state, there is arranged at least one anchoring pin (15, 16, 17) extending obliquely with respect to the base plate (11) in approximately the anterolateral direction.

  • Publication number: 20110060417
Abstract: Shoulder joint prosthesis, especially a reverse shoulder joint prosthesis, having a joint part, especially a humeral socket (10), connectible at the proximal end of a humeral shaft (18). The joint part associated with the humeral shaft (18) is held displaceably relative to the shaft (18) at least in the antero-posterior direction.

  • Publication number: 20060111787
Abstract: A glenoid prosthesis includes a bearing, the lateral side of which defines a concave bearing surface, and a carrier shell, the medial side of which comprises anchoring elements, wherein the medial side is generally flat. The prosthesis may be implanted in an anterior-posterior (A-P) by forming bores in the scapula in the A-P direction, wherein the anchoring elements extend into the bores. The scapula may be proceed to have a generally flat surface to correspond with the flat surface at the medial side of the prosthesis.
