In an embodiment of the invention, a computer implemented method for demand amalgamation in an online auction can be provided. The method can include, in a single online auction provided by an online auction management system executing in at least one host server, the acceptance of bids for associated different items in the online auction management system. At least two of the different items can be of a different item type. The method further can include the determination of winning bids amongst the accepted bids by way of a comparison of the accepted bids to one another without regard to whether or not the accepted bids had been placed for an item of a specific item type.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for a closed loop stored value instrument brokerage. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for brokering a closed loop stored value instrument can include receiving a request in brokerage logic executing in memory by at least one processor of a computer. The request can include a request to broker a payment of a sale price for an item purchased from a selling merchant with a closed loop stored value instrument issued by a separate originating merchant. In response to the receipt of the request, the originating merchant can be directed to debit the closed loop stored value instrument in an amount equivalent to the sale price. Thereafter, payment to the selling merchant can be transferred in an amount less than the sale price.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for value added auctions. In an embodiment of the invention, a value added auction method for stored value accounts can be provided. The method can include establishing an online auction and accepting bids from bidders in the online auction. A winning bid and corresponding winning bidder can be determined. Further, a reward can be computed for the winning bidder based upon a nature of participation in the online auction by the winner. Finally, a stored value account can be loaded with a stored value based upon the winning bid and additional stored value can be loaded on a stored value account based upon the computed reward.

Abstract: A device for dispensing card-like media, referred to as "cards", from a stack of such cards has a front-loading magazine for storing and dispensing the cards, the magazine being received within a primary aperture of a housing. The magazine has a casing formed by two lateral walls and a base and having a mechanism for biasing the stack of cards towards its front opening. A front cover, attached to the casing near its front end, retains the stack of cards within the casing and provides a slot shaped to facilitate manual removal of a single card from the stack. The front cover is displaceable between a closed position in which the front cover closes most of the front opening and an open position in which the front cover allows front loading of the cards into the casing. The open position is such that the front cover forms a partial obstruction to the front opening so as to retain the stack of cards within the cavity.
