  • Patent number: 11497832
Abstract: Provided herein are biocompatible and/or biodegradable hydrogel compositions comprising native collagen and chondroitin sulfate, the collagen and chondroitin sulfate being chemically cross-linked thereby forming a matrix. The native collagen may comprise recombinant human collagen type I (rHCI), recombinant human collagen type III (rHCIII), or a combination thereof, for example. Methods and uses thereof for regeneration or repair of tissue, improvement of tissue function, mechanical stabilization of tissue, prevention of tissue damage, or prevention of tissue loss of function are described, particularly with respect to cardiac tissue and myocardial infarction events.

  • Patent number: 4084818
Abstract: A hockey stick in which the blade and the junction of the blade with the handle are reinforced by a winding of a high tensile strength yarn adhered with an epoxy resin or other appropriate adhesive. The yarn is wound under tension in spiral and does not intersect itself, so that the hockey stick is covered with only one layer of the yarn. Preferably, woven fiberglass sheets are positioned against the sides and the bottom edge of the blade underneath the yarn winding which holds said sheets in position during manufacture; preferably, also, a heel portion of plastic material is applied against the wooden heel and surrounded by the woven fiberglass sheet and the yarn winding.

  • Patent number: 4052499
Abstract: Method of reinforcing the handle of hockey sticks by molding against opposite sides of the handle a layer of synthetic resin in which are embedded reinforcing fibers extending longitudinally of the handle. These layers are bevelled along their opposite edges.
