  • Patent number: 11352242
Abstract: An automotive lift system includes at least one stationary primary lift and a mobile lift caddy configured to remove a vehicle from a primary lift while the vehicle is elevated above the workplace floor and then transport the vehicle to another location. The lift system employs detachable pivotable lift arms that are removably attached to the lift arms of the primary lift, and which can transfer to the lift caddy. Also, the lift caddy may have clamp lift pads that can be used to remove the vehicle from the primary lift and either also remove the pivot lift arms or not remove the pivot lift arms. This system can also be used on existing primary lifts.

  • Patent number: 9889787
Abstract: A mobile lift caddy is configured to remove a vehicle from a primary lift while the vehicle is elevated above the workplace floor and then transport the vehicle to another location. The mobile lift caddy is dimensioned to fit between vertical lift posts of the primary lift. A mobility drive arrangement moves the caddy under operator control to and from the workplace location. Caddy lift arms are configured to accept a portion of removable lift pad assemblies at the lift arms of the primary lift, to lift out the lift pad assembly with the vehicle supported on the lift pads.

  • Patent number: 8123309
Abstract: A brake control valve includes a housing, a quick braking chamber and a piston subject to brake pipe pressure on one side of the piston. A bore in the housing connects the quick braking chamber at a first end and the one side of the piston at a second end. A first valve is in the housing at the first end of the bore. A first operator is in the bore for opening the first valve for a range of positions of the piston. The bore has a first portion of a first diameter and a second portion of a second diameter larger than the first diameter. The first bore portion connects the one side of the piston to the second bore portion. A first operator in the bore is connected to the piston. A seal on the first operator is dimensioned to form a seal with the first bore portion and not with the second bore portion.

  • Publication number: 20090218880
Abstract: A vent valve made from a standard emergency brake valve portion. It includes an emergency portion body with an interface to be mated with the emergency portion interface of the pipe bracket. The body includes a casting with at least one cover and the casting including all the cast cavities and passages for an emergency portion. A vent valve selectively connects a first brake pipe port to a vent port on the body, A vent piston controls the vent valve and a discharge valve pneumatically controls the vent piston. An emergency piston is responsive to brake pipe pressure for controlling the discharge valve. The body does not include at least one of an inshot valve and an accelerated application valve.

  • Patent number: 7429088
Abstract: A brake control valve includes a housing, a quick braking chamber and a piston subject to brake pipe pressure on one side of the piston. A bore in the housing connects the quick braking chamber via a first port at a first end and the one side of the piston at a second end. The seal is located on the operator to lie in the first bore portion for a first segment of the range of piston positions and to lie in the second bore portion for a second segment of the range of piston positions.
