  • Patent number: 9133871
Abstract: When it comes to an expansion plug (1) including an anchor bolt (2) with an expansion element (3) on a first end section (6) of the anchor bolt (2) having a longitudinal axis (10), preferably also including at least one force-applier (20) on the anchor bolt (2) in order to hold loads, and also including an expansion sleeve (4) surrounding the anchor bolt (2), the objective is to avoid an axial movement of the expansion sleeve (14), especially in the case of a drilled hole diameter in the lower tolerance range or in the case of a hollow space. The expansion plug (1) has at least one eccentric geometry, so that an expansion of the expansion sleeve (4) can be achieved by a rotational movement of the anchor bolt (2), especially around the longitudinal axis (10) as the axis of rotation (9).

  • Publication number: 20090022568
Abstract: In order to improve the holding force of a self-tapping concrete screw (1) in a hole (2) drilled in concrete (3), the invention proposes formation of the concrete screw (1) with two threads (8, 9) having different external diameters (d1, d2), the spacing (p1) of the thread (8) which has the smaller external diameter (d1) to the thread (9) which has the larger external diameter (d2) when seen from the front end (5) of the screw being smaller than the spacing (p2) of the thread (9) having the larger external diameter to the thread (8) having the smaller external diameter. The threads (8, 9) are preferably sawtooth threads.

  • Publication number: 20080310930
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for anchoring an anchor (10) in an anchoring substrate (26), for example, of concrete, to an anchor (10) suitable for the method and to a drill suitable for the method. The invention proposes using the anchor (10) as tool for at least partial preparation of the anchoring hole (28) in the anchoring substrate (26) by high-frequency oscillatory working. The anchor (10) is, for example, an undercut expansion anchor, the expansible sleeve (14) of which forms the tool and is driven into an anchoring substrate (26) by being subjected to the action of high-frequency oscillations.

  • Publication number: 20080286065
Abstract: The invention relates to an undercut anchor (10) comprising an anchor shaft (12) and a non-circular, for example triangular, anchor head (16). Said undercut anchor (10) is to be anchored in a borehole which is produced by ultrasound boring, has a cross-section matching that of the anchor head (16), and an undercut at the bottom thereof, that engages at the rear of the anchor head (16) following a rotation of 60°. A rotation-preventing element (18) is used to ensure that the anchor is rotationally fixed, said element having a cross-section matching the anchor head (16), and a recess (22) arranged on a front side thereof facing the anchor head (16) and corresponding thereto (16). When the anchor head (16) engages with the undercut of the borehole following the rotation, the rotation-preventing element (18) slides towards the anchor head (16) with the recess (22) thereof, holding the anchor head (16) in the borehole in a rotationally fixed manner, and thus securing the anchoring.

  • Publication number: 20080050198
Abstract: A fastening element for a hard constructional component (6) includes a base body (12; 22; 42) extending along a longitudinal axis (19; 29; 49), a self-tapping thread (13; 23; 43) provided, at least regionwise, on the base body (12; 22; 42) and a height of which extends radially outwardly from the outer surface (18, 28, 48) of the base body (12; 22; 42), and at least one groove (16, 26, 45, 46, 47) provided on the base body (12; 22; 42) and a depth (T1, T2) of which extends radially inwardly from the outer surface (18; 28; 48) of the base body (12; 22; 42) and which is axially spaced from the self-tapping thread (13; 23; 43).

  • Patent number: 6676346
Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening element made from metal, having an expansion sleeve (2) and an expansion member (3), which expansion member (3) is axially displaceable on the shank of a threaded bolt (8), the threaded bolt (8) having on its forward end an end-stop in the form of an expander (9). On the threaded bolt (8), between the expander (9) and the expansion member (3), there is arranged a spacing element (10). In the event of a tensile load, the expander (9) enters the spacing element (10) and forms a deformation zone that corresponds to the length of the spacing element (10). As a result of the friction and deformation occurring in the deformation zone, overloads are absorbed and, consequently, the fastening element is prevented from coming out or the threaded bolt from breaking off.
