  • Patent number: 8215199
Abstract: A parallel kinematic positioning system 10 (PKPS 10) that is comprised of a stationary base plate (12) and an upper movable platform (28) to which is attached a workpiece or an instrument. Between the stationary base plate (12) and the upper movable platform (28) are positionally attached six strut assemblies (50). The six strut assemblies operate a hexapod that include in combination, a counterbalance subassembly (111), a servo motor subassembly (134), a bearing and encoder subassembly (156) and an electronics circuit (190). The combination accurately and repeatably positions the upper movable platform (28) within six degrees of freedom relative to the base plate (12).

  • Patent number: 7124401
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for use in testing a computer program application, including an application having multiple versions. Information identifying a target system is obtained. Application information identifying the actual version of the application as installed on the target system is obtained. A test script is selected from multiple test script versions based on the actual version of the application. The selected test script is used to test the application as installed on the target system.

  • Publication number: 20050278050
Abstract: A method for performing exception handling operates within a computer controlled multi-step production system for producing objects. The system includes a system controller, within which reside a planner/scheduler and module controller(s). The system controller receives a stream of object specifications for objects to be produced including the jobs to which they belong. The planner/scheduler plans and schedules the jobs incrementally, and the system controller sends commands to the module controller(s) directing production of the planned and scheduled objects by production system modules. The method includes receiving notice in the system controller of a problem situation present within the multi-step production system and halting planning for the production of subsequent objects. Plans are canceled plans for all objects that have not begun production, and all objects affected by the problem situation are marked as bad objects.

  • Patent number: 6772083
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, providing a test configuration having an associated test script and one or more associated data containers. Each data container defines a set of parameters and one or more sets of variants, each set of variants specifying a value for each of the parameters in the set of parameters. Each data container is reusable with multiple test configurations. The test script has a set of test parameters and the test configuration further has a set of test parameter variants, each of the test parameter variants being a set of values for respective test parameters in the set of test parameters. The test parameter variants include one or more references for obtaining data values from one or more of the associated data containers.
