The function is to be depicted on a data set to which a distribution rule is allocated. A data set, with its associated distribution rules, defines a generic basic function. The data sets which define the generic basic functions, together with their distribution rules for access by a product template configurator, are contained in a basic function list. The product template configurator combines one or several basic functions and transfers these to a product template, in that the generic basic functions are mutated into specific basic functions for the product template concerned by transferring or restricting the values.

Abstract: A computer network system for building and/or synchronising a second database based on a first database. Accesses by work units are carried out on the first database from an application workstation, to generate, change or delete contents of the database. A first server and second server interconnected via a data connection guide and maintain the first database and a second database, respectively. The accesses take place using an encapsulation module that receives and decomposes the work units into one or more messages, enters the messages in the first database and sends the messages to the second database. A coexistence controller places change messages sent by the first database in a coexistence database, determines whether all messages of a transaction have been transmitted, determines application program elements for which changes are relevant, if all of the messages of the transaction have been transmitted, and reads out the placed change messages in a correct order.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for retrieving a product template from a product template directory to generate a contract document reflecting a contract. The product template comprises basic functions associated with a product. Distribution rules indicate whether a particular data combination can lead to a contract. The systems and methods may determine, based on the distribution rules, which conditions are fulfilled so that a customer is given access to a product associated with the basic function. A relationship may be created between a distribution rule and a basic function allocated to the distribution rule. The systems and methods provide functionalities for implementing contract data and for managing and administering customer contracts relevant to a customer.
