  • Patent number: 9297412
Abstract: A bearing assembly includes at least one outer ring and an inner ring unit including first and second inner rings, the inner ring unit having a central, axial bore extending through the first and second inner rings, and a plurality of attachment bores for attaching the bearing assembly to a bearing carrier. A first plurality of roller bodies is disposed between the at least one outer ring and the first inner ring and a second plurality of roller bodies is disposed between the at least one outer ring and the second inner ring. A pin extends through the central axial bore of the first inner ring and through the central axial bore of the second inner ring, and the pin maintains a predetermined preload on the bearing assembly by holding the first inner ring in a fixed position relative to the second inner ring.

  • Patent number: 8272649
Abstract: A steering knuckle pin bearing assembly includes a bearing and a steering knuckle pin pivotably supporting a steering knuckle relative to an axle beam. A sealing collar seals a space between the bearing and the steering knuckle pin, which space may include a spacer washer. The sealing collar is slidably borne on a radial outer surface of the bearing. In addition, the sealing collar has at least one sealing region that is in slidable contact with an at least substantially cylindrical sealing surface of the axle beam.

  • Publication number: 20110026865
Abstract: A bearing assembly includes at least one outer ring and an inner ring unit having at least two inner rings, each having a central bore. A supporting element extends through the central bores. Roller bodies are rotatably disposed between the at least one outer ring and each of the inner rings. Radially-outer bores extend through the inner ring unit or the supporting element in the axial direction and each receives a screw or bolt for affixing the bearing assembly on a bearing carrier. The radially-outer bores are spaced from the symmetry axis of the bearing assembly. At least one lubrication conduit is defined on or in at least one of the inner rings and is configured to communicate liquid lubricant to the roller bodies.
