  • Patent number: 4881886
Abstract: A compression head for a machine for continuously densifying vegetable matter, wherein radial or virtually radial bars are included in the front face of the disc of the head and are made of a material presenting a coefficient of friction greater than that of the material of which the disc is made. The outer face of the bars is shaped so that the conventional ribs on the front face of the disc are continuous through the bars.

  • Patent number: 4419066
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved machine for continuously compacting ligno-cellulosic or like materials, comprising two toothed conveyor belts mounted around drums, the teeth and valleys of these belts being located outside so that their stretched sides cooperate to compress a fibrous or like materials poured between these belts via a hopper. Compression rollers facilitate compression and cooperate with the resilient toothed belts to cause a pulsating effect of the belts on the materials. The invention is more particularly applicable to compacting ligno-cellulosic or like materials.

  • Patent number: 3930341
Abstract: A universal vertical grinding machine has a horizontal base supporting at least one workpiece carrier device. A vertical column centered on the base provides an axis of rotation for at least one collar rotatably mounted with reference to the column and provided with at least one head comprising a grinder-carrier spindle supporting a grinder adjacent the workpiece carrier device. Suitable arrangements are provided for effecting an axial sliding of the collar along the column in a reciprocating manner, and to independently rotate the collar about the column. Advantageously, there are two collars mounted for rotation about the column, with the collars being rotated in opposite directions.
