Publication number: 20240190626Abstract: A self-closing dispensing valve is made of plastomer or thermoplastic elastomer and includes a valve head with a dispensing orifice, a circular peripheral retaining flange spaced apart from the valve head in an axial direction, and a connecting sleeve integrally connected with the valve head on one end and the retaining flange on another end. The valve head has a dome shape with a concave exterior side and a convex interior side. The connecting sleeve is substantially form stable. The valve head is connected to an upper end of the connector sleeve by a hinge portion that is U-shaped in cross section. The wall thickness of the hinge portion is smaller than the wall thickness of the connector sleeve and is staggered at the transition between the connector sleeve and the hinge portion. Alternatively the connector sleeve is omitted and the valve head is directly connected to the retaining flange.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2024Publication date: June 13, 2024Applicant: Weener Plastics Group B.V.Inventors: Marcel Pater, Alwin Mertens, Sebastiaan Wilhelmus Josephus Den Boer, Lenny Marita Ellenkamp-Van Olst

Publication number: 20240065416Abstract: The invention relates to a deodorant dispenser with a container (10) and a rotary body (20) with a first coupling (21), and to a refill pack, filled with a deodorant composition, for such a deodorant dispenser with a refill container, a refill spindle (32) and a refill elevator (40) that is movable up and down on an outer thread of the refill spindle. The refill spindle has a second coupling (31) which, upon insertion of the refill container into the container of the deodorant dispenser, is connectable, with form-fit engagement and for conjoint rotation, to the first coupling of the rotary body of the deodorant dispenser.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2020Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Michael SCHIPPER, William RAMON, Marcel PATER

Patent number: 11912472Abstract: A self-closing dispensing valve is made of an elastic material and includes a valve head with a dispensing orifice, a circular peripheral retaining flange spaced apart from the valve head in an axial direction, and a connector sleeve integrally connected with the valve head on one end and the retaining flange on another end. The elastic material is a plastomer or a thermoplastic elastomer. The connector sleeve is substantially form stable. The valve head is connected to an upper end of the connector sleeve by a hinge portion that is U-shaped in cross section. The wall thickness of the hinge portion is smaller than the wall thickness of the connector sleeve and is staggered at the transition between the connector sleeve and the hinge portion. Alternatively, if the connector sleeve is omitted, then the valve head is directly connected to the retaining flange.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2020Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Weener Plastics Group B.V.Inventors: Marcel Pater, Alwin Mertens, Sebastiaan Wilhelmus Josephus Den Boer, Lenny Marita Ellenkamp-Van Olst

Patent number: 11840377Abstract: A self-closing dispensing valve is made of an elastic material and includes a valve head with a dispensing orifice, a circular peripheral retaining flange spaced apart from the valve head in an axial direction, and a connecting sleeve integrally connected with the valve head on one end and the retaining flange on another end. The dispensing orifice is formed by at least three slits in the valve head, where the slits converge at a centre of the valve head and are angularly evenly distributed around the centre of the valve head. The valve head includes a number of lobes, where in each of the lobes at least one of the slits is formed. Each of the lobes has a tip region on a radial outer end of the lobe, where the tip regions of the respective lobes lie approximately on an imaginary circle.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2020Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: Weener Plastics Group B.V.Inventors: Marcel Pater, Alwin Mertens, Sebastiaan Wilhelmus Josephus Den Boer, Lenny Marita Ellenkamp-Van Olst

Patent number: 10234318Abstract: A liquid dosing device for a container includes a dosing chamber having a front end and a back end. An outlet passage is located at the front end. A plunger is located in the dosing chamber, divides it in a front and a back space, and is moveable between a forward position in which the plunger closes off the outlet passage, and a backward position, in which the front space has a maximal volume. An inlet passage provides fluid communication between the front space and the container. A timer passage provides fluid communication between the container and the back space. A release passage, being greater than the timer passage, provides fluid communication between the back space and the container. A valve assembly at the release passage includes a valve seat located at the back end of the dosing chamber.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2015Date of Patent: March 19, 2019Assignee: Weener Plastics Netherlands B.V.Inventors: Marcel Pater, Willem Ramon, Lenny Marita Ellenkamp-Van Olst
