  • Patent number: 11692350
Abstract: Enclosures are used to attenuate noise produced by a high decibel producing device, such as a gas turbine engine or other rotating machinery. However, enclosures that achieve high Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings are generally expensive and immobile, whereas inexpensive and mobile enclosures are generally incapable of achieving high STC ratings. Accordingly, a composite noise-attenuating panel system is disclosed that can achieve the high STC ratings associated with immobile, site-erected enclosures, using subpanels that are separated by an air gap and an internal filler (e.g., mineral wool), while maintaining the weight, form factor, and ease of use associated with lightweight, modular mobile enclosures.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20180347175
Abstract: A modular building structure for a turbomachinery equipment includes a first prefabricated structure, a second prefabricated structure, and a plurality of guides to align and couple the first prefabricated structure to the second prefabricated structure. The first prefabricated structure includes a first rigid frame formed from first linear members, and defines first pin receiving holes. The second prefabricated structure includes a second rigid frame formed from second linear members, and defines second pin receiving holes. Each guide includes a plate having an opening extending through the plate, and an elongated member extending through the opening of the plate. The elongated member includes a first end portion extending inside a corresponding first pin receiving hole and a second end portion extending inside a corresponding second pin receiving hole for coupling the first prefabricated structure with the second prefabricated structure.

  • Publication number: 20180058060
Abstract: A building structure for operating turbomachinery equipment is disclosed. The building structure includes a first pre-fabricated structure, a second pre-fabricated structure, and a connector attaching the first pre-fabricated substructure to the second pre-fabricated substructure. Each pre-fabricated substructure includes a rigid frame formed from a plurality of linear members. The plurality of linear members forms a first rectangular structure, a second rectangular structure, and connects the first rectangular structure to the second rectangular structure. Each pre-fabricated substructure also includes a noise attenuating sealing panel attached to one or more of the first rectangular structure and the second rectangular structure. The connector includes a spacer plate inserted between first and second pre-fabricated substructures and a fastener. The spacer plate includes an elongated opening extending through the spacer plate.

  • Patent number: 9376801
Abstract: A method of deploying a modular gas compression plant is disclosed. In an embodiment, the method comprises constructing a building of four substructures including a first lower housing, a first upper housing, a second lower housing, and a second upper housing. The method further includes assembling a turbomachinery equipment into the first lower housing. The method further includes assembling an air inlet duct and an exhaust duct to the first upper housing. The method further includes disassembling the building into the four substructures.
