Abstract: A stack assist system includes a stacking surface, such as a pallet, configured to receive a plurality of packages thereon. A graphical display is configured to display a visual representation of an optimized stack of packages on the staking surface. A package position indicator may indicate the location of a package to be placed on package stack. The system may receive package data from a warehouse management system and determine an optimized stack based on numerous considered and weighted parameters related to the packages. The stack assist system may further optionally include a mobile unit to travel through a warehouse, over an optimized path, to retrieve packages intended for a stack.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for stacking objects on a transport carrier. The apparatus is provided with a forming platform, a loading platform on which a transport carrier to be loaded, such as a pallet or a roller container, can be placed, and a gripper which is movable between the forming platform and the loading platform. The gripper comprises a support frame which is provided with at least one row of parallel forks, which forks comprise an upright to which a horizontal beam is attached at a distance beneath the support frame, wherein the beams can be moved backward and forward in their longitudinal direction, wherein each fork is individually adjustable vis-à-vis the support frame. The forks are independently adjustable vis-à-vis the support frame.

Abstract: An apparatus for stacking objects, provided with positioning means (3) which are designed for ranging the objects (2) in specific, substantially horizontal stacking positions (P), while the apparatus (1) is provided with conveying means (4, 14) designed for conveying the objects (2) from the positioning means to a stacking area for stacking the objects (2) onto each other, the apparatus (1) being provided with stacking pattern maintaining means (5) which are at least designed for substantially maintaining said stacking patterns (P) during the stacking of each object (2) in the stacking area. The invention further provides a method for stacking objects.
