Abstract: A method for histocompatibility laboratory operation and quality assurance whereby software gathers test results from databases. The software creates and assigns tasks to laboratory personnel. The software applies algorithms to perform an antibody quality check and provides the user visualization for reviewing and accepting the test or sending it for rework. The software creates tasks to review approved test results for unacceptable antigens. The software applies algorithms to identify potentially unacceptable antigens and provides the user with an interactive visualization to enable them to decide what antigens are unacceptable. The software uploads unacceptable antigens directly to UNOS. The software gathers data from UNOS about donor offers, compares to patient data, and applies algorithms to help the user perform a Virtual Crossmatch and determine if an offered organ should be accepted. The software generates reports, manages reviews, gathers digital signatures and provides a secure audit trail.
