  • Publication number: 20250146514
Abstract: A method for controlling a compressed air supply device of a compressed air system of a utility vehicle. The compressed air supply device has a compressor, an air dryer unit and a regeneration valve device and being operated in an operating mode with delivery phases and regeneration phases. In the method, a current humidity, e.g. a relative or absolute humidity, is ascertained in the compressed air system, a current dew point depression (c-DPD) is ascertained from the ascertained humidity, a target dew point depression (t-DPD) is ascertained from current and/or projected ambient temperature data (T0, T(t)) and/or from current and/or projected vehicle operating data, and a target dew point depression (t-DPD) is subsequently ascertained from current and/or projected ambient temperature data (T0, T(t)) and compared with the current dew point depression (c-DPD). The operating mode and/or the regeneration phases are subsequently set and/or changed.

  • Publication number: 20230340974
Abstract: An air processing unit for providing compressed air to a supply port for use in a pneumatic system with a pneumatic unit pneumatically connected to the supply port. The air processing unit comprises an inlet port for receiving the compressed air from an electrically controlled compressed air supply. An air drying unit having an input port pneumatically connected to the inlet port and configured to dry the compressed air received, a supply line configured to supply dried compressed air, a return flow control unit comprising an electrically controlled valve are also included in the air processing unit. The electrically controlled valve is provided as a single and only electrically controlled valve of the return flow control unit.

  • Patent number: 11434896
Abstract: Disclosed is a governor device for controlling a compressor in a pressurized air system. The governor device includes a supply port, a control port, an exhaust opening, an inlet valve between the supply port and the control port, and an outlet valve between the control port and the exhaust opening. The governor device also includes a displaceable piston and is switchable between a basic position with an open outlet valve and closed inlet valve and an actuated position with a closed outlet valve and open inlet valve. A valve arrangement is included at the piston, the valve arrangement comprising a fixed means fixed to the piston and a valve plate displaceable with respect to the fixed means.

  • Patent number: 11300144
Abstract: An air supply unit for a pneumatic system is provided herein. The unit includes a compressor inlet for receiving compressed air in a supply mode. The unit further includes a consumption outlet for connecting at least one consumption circuit. The unit further includes an air processing unit connected to the compressor inlet for drying and filtering the compressed air and delivering dried compressed air at its outlet. The unit further includes a supply line extending from the outlet to the consumption outlet. The unit further includes a purge tank connected to the supply line. The purge tank is connected to the supply line through a throttle for pressure reduction of the purge air. In order to realize a short filling time, the purge tank is further connected to the supply line by a filling valve. The filling valve is open in the supply mode and blocking in the purge mode.
