Components of the discontinuous phase can chemically react with each other or with water when water is blended with the nonaqueous cleansing or skin treatment composition during consumer use. In a second embodiment, a solidified cleansing or skin treatment composition is described which contains components that can chemically react with each other or with water when water is blended with the solidified cleansing composition during consumer use. Methods for treating the skin with the inventive compositions are also described.

The compositions have soft focus optics imparting radiance to the applied skin area without excessive shininess or opacity and have excellent skinfeel properties.

The inventive vehicle is substituted to the extent that an insufficient amount of performance agents are selected by the consumer to obtain optimum, final product, component concentrations.

Abstract: A cosmetic microemulsion composition is provided including a fragrance and a vehicle system noninterfering with the fragrance scent and including water, isoeicosane and a C.sub.8 -C.sub.40 fatty glyceride ester alkoxylated with from 1 to 100 moles C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 alkylene oxide per mole of glyceride. These microemulsions are best utilized as aftershave balm with a fragrance identical if not at least quite similar to a signature perfume.
