  • Publication number: 20240144104
Abstract: For each of a number of workloads, first time-series execution performance information is collected during execution of the workload on a first hardware platform. For each workload, second time-series execution performance information is collected during execution of the workload on a second hardware platform. An encoder-decoder machine learning model is trained that outputs predicted performance on the second hardware platform relative to known performance on the first hardware platform. The encoder-decoder machine learning model is trained from the first and second time-series execution performance information for each workload.

  • Patent number: 11930123
Abstract: Digital certificates are generated for devices by a Certificate Authority (CA), which communicates with devices via another entity—registration authority (RA)—so that the CA and RA cannot associate certificates with devices. Each certificate is associated with a public signature key, and with a public encryption key used by CA to encrypt the certificate to hide it from the RA. Both keys are derived by CA from a single key. For example, the signature key can be derived from the public encryption key rather than generated independently. However, high security is obtained even when the CA does not sign the encrypted certificate. Reduced bandwidth and computational costs are obtained as a result. Other embodiments are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220258571
Abstract: A vehicle system is described that includes a multi-phase rotary electric motor rotatably coupled via a rotatable member to an air-conditioning compressor, and a remotely located rechargeable energy storage system (RESS). The RESS includes a first power inverter that is electrically coupled to the multi-phase rotary electric motor via a plurality of electric power cables, a second power inverter that is electrically coupled to a second electric machine, a DC power source, and a chiller. A controller is in communication with and controllably coupled to the first power inverter and the second power inverter. The controller is operative to control the first power inverter to operate the multi-phase rotary electric motor in an open-loop control scheme.

  • Publication number: 20220041836
Abstract: The present invention describes the preparation of heterogeneous catalysts of mixed oxides based upon niobium and mixed oxides of zinc, manganese, nickel, cobalt and/or aluminum, originating from hydrotalcites (HTs) as precursor phase of heterogeneous catalysts, and application thereof in the chemical recycling of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) for the production of metal free bis(hydroxy)ethylene (BHET) monomers and oligomers having a processing performance similar to that of the homogeneous catalysis system.

  • Patent number: 10317918
Abstract: A thermal bypass valve includes a housing defining a bore along a longitudinal axis and having two inlet ports and two outlet ports; a cap disposed within the bore; a shuttle disposed within the bore and reversibly translatable towards and away from the cap along the longitudinal axis between a first fill position, a cooling position, and a bypass position; and an actuator configured for translating the shuttle along the longitudinal axis between the cooling position and the bypass position. The actuator is formed from a shape memory alloy and is transitionable between a first state and a second state in response to a temperature of the fluid.
