  • Patent number: 6027173
Abstract: A leveling system for vehicles including a frame connected to wheels, and a dump body. The dump body is pivotally connected to the frame about a first axis placed at the rear end of the vehicle, and a mechanism for moving the dump body in relation to the frame is provided to enable the dump body to rotate around the first axis for purposes of unloading material inside the dump body. The leveling system includes an inclination detector for detecting the inclination of the first axis relative to horizontal. An adjustment system is provided for adjusting the inclination of the dump body to the horizontal. The adjustment system, itself, includes at least one bracket positioned between the frame and the dump body, wherein the bracket is centrally pivoted on a substantially horizontal pin perpendicular to the first axis. The pin defines a second axis and joins the frame to the dump body.

  • Patent number: 5961257
Abstract: A drill for drilling crossties, particularly for use in the railroad sector, comprising a protective enclosure which is formed by a movable portion and by a fixed portion and is suitable to completely cover a chuck of the drill and a drilling bit coupled to the chuck; sliding means which allow the sliding of the movable portion with respect to the fixed portion when the movable portion is placed at an area to be drilled and at the beginning of the drilling operation; and resilient means adapted to bias the sliding of the movable portion with respect to the fixed portion and suitable to be loaded by the penetration of the drilling bit and, at the end of the drilling operation, to be released for the quick disengagement of the bit from a hole formed during the drilling operation.

  • Patent number: 5769502
Abstract: The present invention relates to a levelling system for motor vehicles which allows the shaft that hinges a truck body or other loading surface defining a loading structure, to an auxiliary frame defining, or forming part of, the vehicle's supporting structure, to remain horizontal so as to enable the body or loading surface to be used effectively; the levelling system basically includes a device for detecting the inclination of the hinge shaft to the horizontal and a mechanism for adjusting the inclination consisting of a bracket or lever placed between the supporting structure and the loading structure, pivoted to a second shaft and operated on by at least two variable extension elements connected to the supporting structure and designed to vary the inclination of the latter in accordance with the readings of the detecting a mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5536030
Abstract: A steering detection device for articulated vehicles, such as consisting of a tractor truck and a semitrailer, connected by a thrust bearing on the truck and having a hole designed to house a corresponding pin on the semitrailer, creating an axis of relative rotation between the tractor truck and the semitrailer. The device has a shaft rotatably mounted to the pin, a sensor connected to the shaft to interact with the thrust bearing when the tractor truck is coupled to the semitrailer, and a transducer actuated by the rotatable shaft to produce electric signals corresponding to the angular rotational movements between the shaft attached to the thrust bearing by means of the said sensor, and the pin, in order to obtain signals relative to the rotation of the tractor truck with respect to the semitrailer.
