Publication number: 20230404354Abstract: A spin mop and bucket system to assist in dewatering a mop is disclosed. The spin mop may have a handle assembly slidably connected with a spiral member, and a mop head that is attached to the spiral member. When the handle assembly moves along the spiral member, the spiral member rotates causing the mop head to rotate. The mop head may articulate relative to the handle assembly and may be pivotally connected to the spiral member and also pivotally connected to a swivel member located between the spiral member and a mop head base. The mop head may be received in a wringer basket of a bucket assembly, such that when the mop head spins, the wringer basket spins to expel any excess fluid from the mop head.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2023Publication date: December 21, 2023Applicant: The Libman CompanyInventors: Andrew D. Patent number: 8893343Abstract: A mop head which provides for both the reliable securement of a cleaning element to the mop head and for simple and efficient installation and removal of the cleaning element from the mop head is presented. The mop head includes a first securement member and a second securement member adapted for securing a cleaning element to the mop head, wherein the first securement member is pivotally connected to the second securement member at a pivot joint. The securement members are movable about the pivot joint into a use position and change position. The cleaning element can be mated to the securement members in the change position and movement of the securement members to use position secures cleaning element to the mop head for use. A latch locks the securement members in the use position to prevent movement of the securement members about the pivot joint.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2012Date of Patent: November 25, 2014Assignee: The Libman CompanyInventors: Robert J. Patent number: 8046863Abstract: In an embodiment, a mop includes a mop head and a shaft attached to the mop head. A handle is attached to the shaft by a pivot. An actuator member is coupled to the handle between a grip end and the pivot. Translation of the handle causes the actuator member to translate. In an embodiment, the pivot is offset from the shaft and arranged so that the shaft is located between the position where the handle is attached to the actuator member and the position where the handle is attached to the pivot. A stop may be provided to limit the translation of the handle. The actuator member is coupled a mop fiber base that supports mop fibers. The surface of the mop fibers may have a plurality of raised portions.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2008Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: The Libman CompanyInventors: Enzo Berti, Marco Bizzotto, Roberto Pellacini
