Patent number: 10202164Abstract: The described actuation device comprises a casing, intended for the attachment to the handlebar of the bicycle, a cable-winding bobbin, angularly mobile in the casing about a main axis of the device, a first driving mechanism, acting on the bobbin to rotate it in a first angular direction, a second driving mechanism, acting on the bobbin to rotate it in a second angular direction opposite the first, as well as indexer assembly for removably holding the bobbin in predetermined angular positions. In accordance with the invention, the indexer assembly comprise first countering member, to counter the rotation of the bobbin in the first direction, and second countering member, distinct from the first countering member, to counter the rotation of the bobbin in the second direction. Asymmetric operation is thus obtained which allows active actuation to be set both for upward gearshifting and for downward gearshifting.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2008Date of Patent: February 12, 2019Assignee: CAMPAGNOLO S.R.L.Inventors: Giuseppe Dal Pra′, Marco Caiazzo, Andrea De Pretto

Publication number: 20080202866Abstract: The invention relates to a bicycle brake, having a first lever that comprises an actuation arm for connecting to an inner cable of a brake cable and a braking arm for supporting a brake pad. The brake also has a second lever that comprises an actuation arm for connecting to a sheath of the brake cable and a braking arm for supporting a brake pad. The actuation arm of the first lever has two side by side branches, a distal one and a proximal one with respect to the brake cable.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2008Publication date: August 28, 2008Applicant: CAMPAGNOLO S.R.L.Inventor: Marco Caiazzo

Publication number: 20060260890Abstract: To facilitate the mounting procedure of a brake pad in a brake shoe, it is provided for the undercut coupling between brake pad and brake shoe not to occur along their entire length. The brake pad can then be mounted in the brake shoe by means of a first movement for bringing at least one undercut section into abutment against a non-undercut section, and a second movement of mutual sliding, guided and stabilized by the abutment relationship obtained by the first movement, thus further reducing the risk of damage to the brake pad. Also, the second movement of mutual sliding only takes place over a shorter stroke than the full length of the brake pad and the brake shoe, which is a particularly advantageous feature when the relative sizes of the cross-sections are such as to create a coupling with mechanical interference.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2006Publication date: November 23, 2006Applicant: Campagnolo S.r.l.Inventors: Giuseppe Dal Pra, Marco Caiazzo
