  • Publication number: 20220018532
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a steam generating system (10) for a domestic steam cooking oven (40). A steam generator (26) and an inlet valve (16) are controlled by a regulating thermal switch (30) and a limiting thermal switch (32). The regulating thermal switch (30) and the limiting thermal switch (32) respond to a temperature within and/or at the steam generator (26). A threshold value of the limiting thermal switch (32) is higher than a threshold value (Ts) of the regulating thermal switch (30). The steam generator (26) is deactivated and the inlet valve (16) is activated by the regulating thermal switch (30), if the temperature (T) of the steam generator (26) exceeds the threshold value (Ts) of the regulating thermal switch (30).

  • Publication number: 20210386233
Abstract: The application provides a method for operating a steam cooking appliance (10) having a food preparation cavity, a steam system comprising a steam generator and a water tank (20) for supplying water to the steam generator, and drive means for displacing the water tank between an operative position in which the water tank is inserted into the steam cooking appliance to supply water to the steam generator, and a non-operative position in which the water tank is at least partially expelled from the steam cooking appliance. The method comprises: Displacing the water tank (20) from the operative position to the non-operative position if it is detected that the steam system might require a refill with water.

  • Patent number: 10955142
Abstract: A cooking oven has a cooking cavity and a steam generating system. The steam generation system includes a water reservoir received and support in a reservoir-receiving space of a reservoir rack inside the cooking cavity. Thermal energy is provided to the water reservoir by a heater inside the cooking cavity. The heater can include thermal block made of a thermally conductive material in thermal communication with a heating element. The heater can be positioned such that it intimately contacts the water reservoir to deliver thermal energy thereto to convert water contained therein to steam, which can be used to cook a food item inside the cooking cavity.

  • Publication number: 20180132648
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooking vessel (30) arrangeable or arranged inside an oven cavity (12) of a cooking oven (10). The cooking vessel (30) is provided for receiving food stuff (40) being prepared by a steam cooking process. The cooking vessel (30) is confined or confinable, so that a higher humidity inside said cooking vessel (30) as outside said cooking vessel (30) is allowed. The cooking vessel (30) is confined or confinable in such a way, that an overpressure inside said cooking vessel (30) is limited. The cooking vessel (30) comprises at least one vessel sensor (32) arranged inside said cooking vessel (30) and connectable or connected to a control unit (26) of the cooking oven (10). The vessel sensor (32) includes at least one humidity sensor and/or temperature sensor. Further, the present invention relates to a cooking oven (10) comprising at least one cooking vessel (30) arrangeable or arranged inside an oven cavity (12) of said cooking oven (10).
