  • Publication number: 20240109528
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle brake system and to a vehicle brake system, wherein the vehicle brake system comprises at least one hydraulic vehicle brake (10), having a brake caliper (12), having a brake piston (16), having a brake piston seal (20) which is assigned to the brake caliper (12) and which acts between the brake caliper (12) and brake piston (16), having brake pads (22), and having a brake disk (24), in which method a hydraulic brake pressure acting on the brake piston (16) is built up in a manner dependent on a braking command. The brake pressure is furthermore held in a manner dependent on the braking command. If the braking command is withdrawn, the hydraulic brake pressure acting on the brake piston (16) is reduced to a hydraulic intermediate pressure, and the hydraulic intermediate pressure is held for a defined second period of time. The hydraulic brake pressure is subsequently reduced.

  • Publication number: 20240110604
Abstract: In the case of a hydraulic vehicle brake, having a brake caliper (12), having a brake piston (16), having a receiving bore (14) for the brake piston (16), and having a brake piston seal (32) that acts between the brake caliper (12) and the brake piston (16), the brake piston seal (32) is designed as a composite part, with a composite of a base component (34) and a reinforcement insert (36). The reinforcement insert (36) provides the brake piston seal (32) with a degree of elasticity in an axial direction, whereby, after the brake piston (16) has been displaced in the direction of brake pads (22), the brake piston seal (32) displaces the brake piston (16) in the opposite direction.

  • Publication number: 20230178829
Abstract: A button battery (1?,1?) that includes a sealing assembly, having one of the terminals (9) of the battery, an electrically insulating portion (17) and a circumferential wall portion (15). The insulating portion (17) forms a hermetic bond with the terminal (9) and with the wall portion (15). The sealing assembly is receptacle-shaped and one or more components of the battery such as the anode (8), the separator sheet (7) and the cathode (3) may be inserted in the receptacle shape prior to assembling the battery. The wall portion (15) forms a part of the second terminal and is attached to the remainder of the second terminal by a circumferential weld seam (16). The battery may be produced by inserting one or more components of the battery into the sealing assembly and attaching the wall portion (15) of the sealing assembly to the remainder (2,2?) of the second terminal.

  • Publication number: 20220081791
Abstract: An electrochemical, in particular mercury-free hydrogen production cell, is free of Raney nickel and corresponds to electrochemical gas production cells using Raney nickel regarding blank gassing rate and other electrochemical characteristics. The cell includes a metal anode, electrolyte and gas diffusion electrode. The gas diffusion electrode has, as a metal-containing main component, steel alloy and/or catalytic inorganic metal compound and/or platinum or palladium powder, all free of Raney nickel. Avoiding Raney nickel provides increased industrial safety. The substitute materials have significantly fewer risks regarding transportation, fire hazard and toxicology. Necessary preventative measures therefore require substantially less outlay. The amount of nickel (if nickel-containing compound is used) is at least 2 factors lower or tends towards zero.
