  • Patent number: 12078133
Abstract: A motorcycle (1) is proposed in which a grip opening (29) forms a part of the flow path of the intake air of the engine (2). This grip opening (29) is formed by gaps (5) in the side spoilers (3, 19) and a recess (8) in the rear frame (6). Arranged at the recess (8) are the air inlet openings (11, 12, 13, 31, 32) of the air guidance device (9) in which the air filter element (7) for cleaning the intake air of the engine (2) is located.

  • Patent number: 10465638
Abstract: An inlet manifold arrangement is disclosed for a four-stroke internal combustion engine having at least one working cylinder with inlet valves and outlet valves and an inlet manifold assembly. The inlet manifold assembly has a flow direction for fluid (such as a fuel-air mixture) in the inlet direction, and an end section near an air filter device. The manifold assembly also has a throttle valve arrangement and a non-return valve which blocks in the direction opposite to the flow direction. The non-return valve is situated, in relation to the flow direction, between the end section of the inlet manifold assembly and the throttle valve arrangement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2017
Date of Patent: November 5, 2019
    Assignee: KTM AG
