  • Publication number: 20250145025
Abstract: An electric vehicle system that includes a plurality of Li-ion batteries to alternately provide electric power to propel the vehicle, with a generator motor converting rotational energy from the motors installed in wheels of the vehicle into electric energy for recharging the Li-ion batteries. An onboard computer management system controls the system's operations, including switching between the Li-ion batteries for providing power to the vehicle based on power levels of the Li-ion batteries. The system automatically discontinues charging of a lithium-ion battery when its cut-off point is reached to prevent damage or fire hazards. The system eliminates the need to charge batteries at a charging station, enabling one battery to power the vehicle while the second is charged.

  • Publication number: 20230406229
Abstract: A truck mountable toolbox assembly for improving access to contents of drawers of a toolbox includes a housing, which defines an interior space and which mountable to a bed of a pickup truck behind a cab of the pickup truck. A set of swinging drawers is positioned in the interior space, with each swinging drawer being aligned with an associated aperture of a plurality of apertures positioned in the front of the housing. Each swinging drawer is pivotable relative a respective opposed end of the housing and thus is selectively extensible from the front of the housing. The contents of the swinging drawer are accessible from an associated opposed side of the bed.

  • Patent number: 10399541
Abstract: Methods and systems detect motion of a motor vehicle and detect whether the driver, and/or other occupants, are wearing their safety belts. A third party can be notified, in real-time, that the vehicle is being driven without the safety belts engaged. The user can then deliver an audio message to the user, either pre-recorded or live, to remind the user to fasten their safety belts. The third party also has an option of delivering a consequence to the user as a result of the detection of the safety belt not being engaged. Such consequence can include automatically limiting access to certain applications of the driver's smart phone for a certain period of time. The system can include a seat belt application detector, a vehicle motion detector, and wireless communication means to send a signal of safety belt application to the third party.

  • Patent number: 4949047
Abstract: A segmented radio-frequency quadrupole accelerator (10) having a top segment (12), a bottom segment (14), a first side segment (16) and a second side segment (18), each segment having an elongated vane portion (20) arranged in diametrically-opposed pairs along a common longitudinal axis. Mounting arms (30) are integrally formed in the outer walls (28) of the vane portion (20), each end of each mounting arm (30) having a mounting surface (32) formed of a projection (34) having a surface (36) and an end surface (38) oriented at substantially right angles to cooperate with a mounting portion on an adjacent minor segment having a surface (44) and an end surface (46) oriented at right angles. Seals (48) having a C-shaped, cross-sectional configuration are placed between the mounting surfaces to maintain electrical contact between the segments. Fasteners (54) are securely fastened through oversized holes (52) in the segments to adjustably fasten the segments together.
