  • Publication number: 20230228015
Abstract: An apparatus (20) for the continuous production of a mattress (14) of agglomerated mineral fibres is described, comprising a mineral fibre receiving or forming chamber (2), an accumulator conveyer (3) arranged below the receiving or forming chamber (2) and comprising adjacent drums (4) provided with perforated or gas-permeable circumferential surfaces (5) for receiving and accumulating the fibres to form a mattress (14) comprising mineral fibres between the drums (4), a gas extraction device (6) in fluid communication with the perforated or gas-permeable circumferential surfaces (5) of the drums (4) and a lower space between the drums (4) for unloading the mattress (14) of mineral fibres formed between the drums (4), the apparatus (20) being characterized in that said drums (4) comprise each a first half-drum (4a) and a second half-drum (4b) telescopically connected with each other and which are movable along the axis of rotation (X) between a first stroke-end position in which the first half-drum (4a) and th

  • Publication number: 20230192935
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous binding composition containing a) a reducing sugar; b) ammonium sulphamate and/or sulphamate of an alkaline or alkaline-earth metal; c) a pH- adjusting agent selected from ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH), an organic and/or inorganic ammonium salt and/or an organic amine; and a resin (or pre-condensate) obtained by reaction of a polyaldehyde, a urea compound and at a lignin sulphonate and/or a condensation derivate thereof with a polyaldehyde, the resin being present in a percentage of at least 10% by weight on the dry weight of the composition. The binder may be efficiently used to bind cotton fibres, cellulose fibres, organic tissues, coal dust, natural and artificial inorganic fibres, thereby obtaining products with good mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 11420896
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal alloy, characterized in that it comprises, in percent by weight on the total weight of the alloy, 1-4% of niobium (Nb), 0-0.5% of hafnium (Hf), 27-29% of chromium, 1-5% of nickel (Ni), 0.3-0.45% of carbon (C), 0-2% of tantalum (Ta), 0-2% of titanium, 1-3% of iron, less than 0.5% of manganese (Mn), less than 0.3% of silicon (Si), less than 0.2% of zirconium (Zr), the remainder being cobalt (Co) and unavoidable impurities. This metal alloy has superior mechanical strength characteristics at high temperature which make it suitable for the manufacture of a manufactured article, in particular a spinner, for the production of mineral fibers, such as glass fiber, rock fiber and the like.

  • Publication number: 20080202169
Abstract: It is provided a fibering device for making insulating glass fibers in which the gas fiber coming out of a rotor (3) driven in rotation around its axis is maintained to a viscous state and stretched by means of two blower units capable of directing the respective flows towards the fibers coming out of the rotor (3). The second blower unit (8) consists of a plurality of nozzles (10) for delivery of an air flow, which nozzles can be rotated about a respective axis (B) that is transverse to the rotation axis (A) of the rotor. Through movement of the nozzles (10), the point of incidence of the second flow (9) on the fibers is modified so that the stretching degree of the fibers is consequently varied.
