  • Patent number: 11619184
Abstract: A method for determining an air mass in an air separator of a water direct injection system for injecting a water/fuel mixture into a combustion chamber of an engine of a motor vehicle. The air separator is disposed between a water pump for delivering water of the water/fuel mixture and a high-pressure pump for feeding the water/fuel mixture to a high-pressure injector for injecting the water/fuel mixture into the combustion chamber. The method includes increasing a pressure of the water from a first pressure value to a second pressure value by the water pump, determining a water volume delivered by the water pump during the increasing of the pressure of the water by the water pump, and determining the air mass in the air separator on a basis of the determined water volume delivered by the water pump.

  • Patent number: 10753509
Abstract: A subsea structure has an elongate articulated buoyancy string having a longitudinal series of buoyancy elements, and at least one elongate buoyancy holder that is fixed relative to the structure and is capable of housing the buoyancy string. The buoyancy of the structure can be altered by moving the buoyancy string along a transit path that extends along and within the buoyancy holder and through an end opening of the buoyancy holder. The buoyancy string passes through that end opening on being inserted into or withdrawn from the buoyancy holder.

  • Publication number: 20080293101
Abstract: There are disclosed recombinant microorganisms engineered to increase product yield in a biotransformation. In an embodiment, the microorganisms are engineered to increase the amount of NAD(P)H available for a NAD(P)H-requiring oxidoreductase involved in a biotransformation. There are also disclosed methods and systems for using recombinant microorganisms engineered to increase the amount of NAD(P)H available for a NAD(P)H-requiring oxidoreductase involved in a biotransformation. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
