  • Patent number: 7592712
Abstract: An electric generator device comprising a panel bearing one or more electric generating machines each including a stator and a rotor concentric and substantially co-planar. The rotor is supported in rotation by the stator and presents a central part bearing one or more blades of a fan. A flow of fluid causes the fan and in consequence the rotor (R) to rotate. The rotor bears along its periphery a plurality of magnetic poles whose magnetic fields link with windings borne by the stator, for the induction of an electric current in the windings. The rotor is supported in rotation within the stator through magnetic means of support.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 16, 2007
Date of Patent: September 22, 2009
Assignee: C.R.F. Società Consortile per Azioni
    Inventors: Piero Perlo, Marco Ottella
  • Patent number: 7495352
Abstract: The wheel device including a shaft, a reversible rotary electrical machine mounted coaxially about the shaft, an energy storage device coupled to the electrical machine, an electronic control unit for controlling the electrical machine and the energy storage device according to predetermined methods, and solar energy converters connected to at least one lateral portion of the wheel to convert the incident solar energy into electrical energy, and connectable to the energy storage device.

  • Publication number: 20070187952
Abstract: The wheel comprises: a shaft adapted to be secured to a bearing structure of the vehicle and about which the wheel is mounted to rotate, a reversible rotary electrical machine mounted coaxially about the shaft and adapted selectively to act as an electrical generator and as an electric motor actuating the wheel, energy storage devices which may be coupled to the electrical machine, an electronic control unit adapted to control the electrical machine and the energy storage means according to predetermined methods, and solar energy converters connected to at least one lateral portion of the wheel and adapted to convert the incident solar energy into electrical energy, and which may be coupled to the energy storage means. The energy storage devices comprise at least one substantially planar or film rechargeable battery applied to at least one lateral portion of the wheel and rotating rigidly with this wheel.
