  • Patent number: 9809249
Abstract: A device for the steering assistance of a vehicle combination of a towing vehicle and an attached implement in which the attached implement swivels at a rear coupling point of the towing vehicle. The implement includes wheels that are arranged on opposite sides, which can be acted on by the control of corresponding individual wheel drives, independently of one another, with a drive torque. An electronic control unit applies a yawing moment to the implement by the asymmetrical control of the individual wheel drives in such a way that a transverse force exerted on the towing vehicle through the rear coupling point, builds up in the sense of the attainment of a pre-specified steering behavior of the vehicle combination.

  • Patent number: 7748488
Abstract: The invention relates to a steering system for an agricultural or industrial utility vehicle, especially for a tractor. An electric drive (22, 24) is provided for each half of an axle, preferably a front axle (20), of the utility vehicle (10). Said electric drive can be driven by at least one wheel (26) associated with the each axle half. The electric drive (22, 24) can be controlled in such a manner that predetermined torque can be transmitted from the electric drive (22, 24) to the wheel (26) which is being driven. Preferably, the wheels (14) associated with a mechanical drive axle, particularly a rear axle (12) of the utility vehicle (10), can be driven by a mechanical drive (16, 18) of the utility vehicle (10). The invention also relates to a method for operating a steering system.

  • Patent number: 7727114
Abstract: A drive assembly for an agricultural machine. A power take off (PTO) output shaft is connected to a driving motor for driving an attachment. A drive transmission is positioned between and interconnects the driving motor and the support wheels of the agricultural machine. An input device is connected to an electronic control unit. A sensor senses the torque transferred between an attachment and the PTO output shaft, and an actuator is configured to change the transmission ratio of the drive transmission, thereby setting the propulsion speed of the agricultural machine such that the torque transferred between the PTO output shaft and an attachment does not exceed a pre-determined value. The electronic control unit further receives data from the input device and calculates a pre-determined value based on the data received, and thereafter controls the actuator accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20090200051
Abstract: The present invention relates to a three-point implement mounting (10) for an agricultural or industrial utility vehicle (28), having an upper member (14) and two lower members (12). It is possible for a working implement (42) to be coupled to the three-point implement mounting (10) in order to couple the working implement (42) to the utility vehicle (28). In order to specify an interface between the utility vehicle (28) and the working implement (42) which is versatile and can, in terms of its properties, be varied or adapted to the physical application, it is proposed that the three-point implement mounting (10) is of modular design and in that the three-point implement mounting (10) has a coupling interface (26), by means of which the three-point implement mounting (10) can be coupled to the utility vehicle (28). The present invention also relates to an industrial or agricultural utility vehicle (28), a working implement and a storage system.

  • Patent number: 7431108
Abstract: An assembly for the selection of the gear ratio of a power take-off shaft gearbox for the drive of a power take-off shaft output of an agricultural vehicle including an actuator for selecting between one of a plurality of gear ratios and a neutral condition. A first input assembly is positioned within an operator's station and is connected to a control assembly for controlling the actuator to allow an operator to select one of the plurality of gear ratios for the power take-off shaft gearbox. A second input assembly is also connected to the control assembly and allows an operator to select one of the plurality of gear ratios for the power take-off shaft gearbox. The second input assembly is positioned at a location remote from the operator's station.

  • Patent number: 7398705
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the control of a gearbox arrangement with which a torque generated by an engine is transmitted to a drive axle of a vehicle. The gearbox arrangement includes a power shift gearbox and a drive clutch. During a shift process of the power shift gearbox, the drive clutch is disengaged at least partially so that a remaining torque is transmitted from the engine to the drive axle at an almost unchanged operating condition of the engine.

  • Patent number: 7244215
Abstract: A vehicle transmission transmits torque from an engine to a drive axle and includes a power shift transmission and a reverser module. A control system and method automatically partially disengages the reverser module during a shift of the power shift transmission with nearly no effect upon the operating condition of the engine, so that a portion of the torque generated by the engine continues to be transmitted at all times to the drive axle.
