Abstract: A washing drum configured to be rotatably mounted in a laundry washing machine wherein laundry to be washed may be placed. The washing drum has a tubular body wall configured to rotate around a rotational axis, and the tubular body wall comprises at least one bulge protruding from the tubular body wall towards the rotational axis. The contour of the bulge at the tubular body wall has the shape of a squircle, wherein the reference axis of the squircle-shaped contour is inclined with respect to the rotational axis.
