  • Patent number: 6889461
Abstract: A recoil pad, particularly for firearms, which can be fixed detachably to the stock of the firearm and includes a plastic base and a rear member made of deformable material, preferably polyurethane gel, which is rigidly coupled to the base and is adapted to dissipate the energy transferred to the shoulder by the recoil of the firearm upon firing. The recoil pad has two pins for snap fixing the pad to the stock of the rifle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2003
Date of Patent: May 10, 2005
    Assignee: Benelli Armi S.p.A.

  • Patent number: 6619592
Abstract: A self-actuating firearm comprising a frame, a breechblock, a barrel provided with a bore, a cylinder which is associated with the barrel and forms an internal chamber which is connected to the bore of the barrel, by means of a gas tap, and a piston which is at least partially accommodated in the chamber and can be actuated by the gases that arrive from the bore upon firing. The piston floats with respect to the cylinder and the frame and comprises a portion which is external to the cylinder and is adapted to act with an impulsive action on the breechblock in order to recock the firearm upon firing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 27, 2001
Date of Patent: September 16, 2003
    Assignee: Benelli Armi S.p.A.

  • Patent number: 6243978
Abstract: A device for controlling the feeder system of pump-action shotguns having a breech-block which is operatively associated, by virtue of two braces, with a cocking rod (3) moving between two stroke limit positions of the breech-block, a closed position and an open position. The rod motion actuates the feeding of a cartridge from a tubular magazine (5) to a rising block when the breech-block reaches the open position and from the rising block into the firing chamber of the barrel (7) when the breech-block returns to the closed position. The device includes a limiter (9) for limiting the opening stroke of the breech-block and for selectively preventing the breech-block from reaching the open stroke limit position.
