  • Patent number: 8301111
Abstract: A system with a mobile switching center (MSC), a service control point (SCP) and an emergency center (EC). The mobile switching center (MSC) sets up a call between a mobile station (2(i)) and the emergency center (EC), sends first data including raw location data as to where the mobile station (2(i)) is located to the emergency center (EC), and sends a service invocation to the service control point (SCP) to invoke an Intelligent Network service to start searching for second data relating to the mobile station, including more accurate location data as to where the mobile station is located. The service control point (SCP) receives the service invocation, starts the Intelligent Network service to search for the second data and sends the second data to the emergency center (EC) once said second data becomes available.

  • Patent number: 7218715
Abstract: Method and system for setting up connections between a plurality of telephone devices (8, 9) of a switched telephone network (1), for establishing a conference call, comprising connecting a web client terminal (18) to a web server (15, 24) of the internet (2), on request by the terminal (18) running a conference application (26) on the web server (15, 24) to serve the client terminal (18) with a web page to return a plurality of telephone numbers corresponding to respective ones of the plurality of telephone devices (8, 9), in response to receipt of the plurality of telephone numbers by the web server (15, 24) uploading the plurality of telephone numbers by the web server (15, 24) to a service control point (4) of the switched telephone network (1) thereby initiating a conference call script (10) of a service management system (6) supporting the service control point (4) for setting up said telephone connections.

  • Publication number: 20040242226
Abstract: The invention comprises a method for accessing an intelligent network (IN services) implemented in a first telecommunication network (1) by a terminal (10), which is subscribed to the first network (1) and which is roaming in a second telecommunication network(2). The second network (2) is coupled to the first network (1). The method comprises the steps initiated by an IN service request number sent from the terminal and received in a second service switching function (SSF) (8) in the second network (2), sending anIN service request detect message from the second SSF (8) to a first SCF (7) in the first network (1), based on the number, sending a redirect message from a second SCF (6) to the second SSF, the redirect message comprising a command to establish a connection and a destination number associated with the IN service to be accessed, and accessing the IN service from the second SSF (8) by dialing an access number comprising the destination number.
