Abstract: An electronic device, while displaying the user interface of an application in a first mode, displays an affordance with a first appearance over a portion of the user interface, and values of display properties of the affordance change in accordance with a change in values of display properties of the portion of the user interface that underlies the affordance, in accordance with a first set of rules. Upon transitioning from displaying the user interface in the first mode to displaying the user interface in a second mode, the affordance is displayed with a second appearance, and values of display properties of the affordance change in accordance with a change in the values of display properties of the portion of the user interface that underlies the affordance, in accordance with a second set of rules that are different from the first set of rules.

Abstract: At a device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more tactile output generators, a button configuration user interface that includes a plurality of tactile output settings for a button is displayed on the display, wherein the button is available on the device in a plurality of different contexts to cause performance of a respective operation in response to an input of a first type detected on the button. While a respective tactile output setting for the button is selected in the button configuration user interface, in response to detecting a first input of a first type on the button, a respective tactile output that corresponds to the respective tactile output setting is generated without causing performance of the respective operation.

Abstract: An electronic device concurrently displays a first user interface of first software and status information for an application that is different from the first software. The status information includes content of the application. As a state of the application changes, the device updates the content of the application displayed in the status information. In response to detecting an input corresponding to a request to display a different, second user interface of different, second software, while concurrently displaying the first user interface and a respective user interface object that includes the status information, the device ceases to display the first user interface and the respective user interface object, and displays the second user interface including content of the application, including, as the state of the application changes, updating the content of the application displayed in the second user interface, which includes information that is different from the status information.

Abstract: A device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface including an object. While displaying the user interface, the device detects a first and a second portion of an input, where the first portion includes contact(s) at a location corresponding to the object and the second portion includes movement of the contact(s). In response: upon determining that the second portion was detected shortly after detecting the contact(s): when the first input has a first predefined number of contacts, the device drags the user interface object or a representation; and when the first input has a second predefined number of contacts, the device forgoes the dragging. Further in response, upon determining that the second portion was detected after the contact(s) had been detected at the location for at least the first threshold amount of time, the device drags the user interface object or the representation thereof.

Abstract: A computer system displays a first user interface object and detects a first input directed to the first user interface object. If the first input does not meet a first input threshold and includes less than a threshold amount of movement, the computer system changes a mode of a control function corresponding to the user interface object from a first mode to a second mode; if the first input meets the first input threshold and includes less than the threshold amount of movement, the computer system displays a second user interface object that includes information corresponding to the control function; and if the first input meets the first input threshold and includes more than the threshold amount of movement after meeting the first input threshold, the computer system adjusts a respective control value of the control function in accordance with a movement of the first input.

Abstract: An electronic device responds to a user input that includes a movement detected while displaying a user interface object at a first position relative to a first user interface of a first application. If the user input is directed to a location that corresponds to the first user interface object at a start of the movement, the electronic device moves a respective representation of the first user interface in accordance with the movement, relative to a background located behind the first user interface and remaining visible during the movement. If the user input is directed to a portion of the first user interface that is away from the location that corresponds the first user interface object, at the start of the movement, the electronic device performs an operation within the first user interface without moving the respective representation of the first user interface relative to the background.

Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a display, data to present a user interface that includes a plurality of user interface objects, and a current focus on a first user interface object. While the display is presenting the user interface, the electronic device receives an input that corresponds to a movement of a contact across on a touch-sensitive surface. The electronic device, in response to receiving the input and in accordance with a determination that a first axis is a dominant axis, moves the current focus along the first axis by a first amount and along the second axis by a second amount. The amount of movement of the current focus along the second axis is reduced to a first non-zero amount by a scaling factor that is based on one or more inputs received prior to receiving the input.

Abstract: An electronic device presents a user interface including an output property that represents a first type of output. The device detects a first input associated with modifying the first type of output via a first behavior model, and changes the output property over time based on the first behavior model and updates the user interface based on the changes in the output property. While updating the user interface, the device detects a change to the user input; and changes the output property over time based on a second behavior model based on: a value of the output property determined based on the first behavior model; and a first derivative of the value of the output property with respect to time determined based on the first behavior model. The device updates the user interface based on the changes in the output property that occur based on the second behavior model.

A first touch input is detected on a first application icon of the plurality of application icons. The first application icon is for launching a first application that is associated with one or more corresponding quick actions. Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a display, while in a screensaver mode, data to present a first media, that includes a first visual motion effect. In response to receiving a user input on a remote user input device, a type of the user input on the remote user input device is determined. If the user input is of a first type, the device provides, to the display, data to present the first media, that includes the first visual motion effect, with corresponding descriptive text. If the user input is of a second type, the device exits the screensaver mode.

Abstract: In response to a first press input, a device displays a control corresponding to a control function with a first size and with a value indicator representing that a current value of the control function. After displaying the control with the first size and the value indicator, if a subsequent press input has not been detected within a threshold time, the device ceases to display the control; and if a second press input is detected on the same input region within the threshold time: the device adjusts the current value of the control function in accordance with the second press input; the device adjusts a size of the first control from the first size to a second size; and the device changes an appearance of the value indicator to represent that the current value of the control function is the second value.
