  • Publication number: 20220315948
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to compositions, nucleic acids, vectors, viruses, and methods useful for treating hearing loss and/or blindness, for example, Usher Syndrome type IF. The present disclosure provides isolated nucleic acids, vectors, and rAAV.9.PHP.B comprising a transgene encoding a mini-PCDH15, and methods of treating hearing loss using the same. The present disclosure also provides a gRNA associated with a base editor to correct one or more mutations in PCDH15 for treating hearing loss and/or vision loss.

  • Patent number: 9351702
Abstract: A mechanical scanning device is composed of an oscillating beam onto which a transducer is mounted, part of which is flexible such that the beam will oscillate at a frequency between 8 and 15 Hz when mechanically energized. To sustain oscillations, energy is supplied by means of two electromagnetic coils acting on two permanent magnets mounted on either side of the beam. In order to improve the linear performance of the probe, feedback control was employed. A position sensor along with supporting electronics was designed to provide control signal for the feedback system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 2012
Date of Patent: May 31, 2016
    Assignee: Noble Sensors, LLC
Inventors: Shailesh Shrestha, Ahsan Nawroj, Yih-Choung Yu, Marcos Sotomayor, Richard Koplin
